I don't even remember this boss fight in previous playthroughs!! I'm at least level 43 and have level VI armor and I still can't beat it.
I literally walked into the boss room (destroyer, swarm of assemblers and observers) TWICE and even went back out to level up some, still dying.
I can't believe it. I didn't encounter this quest at all on my first two playthroughs.

It's the only way I've been able t ohandle it anyway. Once you've nalied the progenitor it's just a simple clear out the rest job really. But yeah if you don't take it down fast it will hurt you. But yeah as I said it's definitely one of the hardest fights in the game.

I didn't encounter this quest at all on my first two playthroughs. Welcome to Platinum multiplayer, just add more horde with it and you'll be there (except weapons are more balanced to it)Yeah. It is hard as it is supposed to be so. I'd come back later before the end of the game or so, when the tactics and how to evade and more leveling etc. have been done ? Quick tactics : - Take down its turrets first, use techsplosions like energy drain & overload for depleting shields, incinerate/fire/cryo/lance etc. for armor. Weak point is in the turret back/high. - Now as it is without turrets, you can safely play monster & hunter with it - Observers? Yes, get rid of them first, target center where laser is for weak point. Use techsplosions for shields. - Get away from Progenitor vicinity as it will hunt you, use evade and jump to different platforms - When observers have been destroyed, evade Progenitor but be quite close to it - Progenitor opens its "mouth" to spawn new Observers -> This is your moment to hit it hard into its "mouth" - tadaa, weakpoint! - Repeat this cycle as you wish Notes: Incinerate + energy drain or overload = fire explosion for armor drain. So I'd try that trio of powers for one profile. Spec Energy Drain to extended drain ( #5A masseffect.fandom.com/wiki/Energy_Drain_%28skill%29 ) You can also spec Incinerate to detonate ( #6A masseffect.fandom.com/wiki/Incinerate_%28skill%29 )
Hope this helps

I got it once without a cobra using tactical cloak to run past it and focused pretty much solely on reviving my squad continuously. They eventually took it down but it was a long, long fight that way. The cobra is my go to weapon for this fight and a good mix of Incinterate, Enerrgy Drain and Overload. I usually take Drack and Cora for this fight, although I have used Liam or Jaal instead of Cora. I seen videos of people using the room off to the side as cover. They say the progenitor won't go into that room, but I've usually found that it can nail me quite well there anyways and the Observers will definitely follow you inot that room.

I never got a cobra in this game....0_0 You can often buy one from Clancy on Eos. The other merchant on Eos also has them for sale sometimes. I've even seen them for sale through the interface on the Tempest.

Yeah you can also buy them on Aya sometimes from the general goods merchant in the marketplace as well I often pick up a couple oif I have enough spare cash. Also sometimes you can get one in a consumable loot drop as well from the perk system it is pretty rare though to get it through the pre ksystem but it does happen.

Yeah I think I nailed it once without a cobra but I remember it wasn' teasy as I had originally killed it with one but then the other Remnant killed me before I could finish them so had t odo the whole fight again without one as that thattim ethat was the only Cobra I had. I did manag eto kill i tthough on th eseconmd attempt just had to do it without the Cobra don't remember how I pulled it off though. I think I had Vetra and Cora with me for that playthrough

Cobra is a good way to deplete its Shields & Turrets first, then when they are down, rest is easy; 1. observers down, 2. mouth hit

That's how I usuall ydeal with most of the destroyers when coming up against one.

Also I can't craft armor anymore because I can't craft beyond Level V, and I looted level VII Angaran COMMANDO armor.
The research station only has Angaran Guerilla armor, that goes to level V.
No way I'm going back to that.

I still can't find a cobra. Need to hit a few more shops. You can do a save/reload trick while standing in front of a vendor and their inventory will change. If you're adverse to that, you can also leave the planet and return right away and the inventory will be different each time you land. Clancy comes up with a cobra about 60% of the time.

Yeah Cobra's are classified as rare itms in th egame so you're not always guaranteed to find them as they'er programmed to not show up very often in loot grabs and such. I assum eit's because of how damaging the y are and Bioware didn't want players to become to reliant on them I've had a playthrough where I've had a lot more than I realistically needed so used quite a few in that final mission to shut that Architect up that the Archon activates in that one. I've als ohad one where I think I only found 1 or 2 so only really had enough to take down the Progenitor. Doesn't really bother m etoo muc hthoyugh as all it means is I just have to mix up my tactics in the occasions I' d normally use them and I don't which adds to the challenge. I don't think I've ever had a playthrough where I've not found any though yet as I'v ealways managed t oget at least 1 and I think in my playthroughs I usuall ypick up about 5 by the time I'm done. I usuall yend uppicking up muy first one I think around midgame though. B ymi dgame I mmean when Elaaden and Kadara unlock and you start picking up the loyalty missions that part of the game.

Hardest fight in the game by far. The first time two times I did it I did not have cobras. Depending on my level the difficulty varied. The game has weird spikes of difficulty based on your level/guns/abilities. Now, I make sure to load up on 3 cobras just for this fight.

Nice, finding that little firing nook. I need to remember to tell the side characters not to move anywhere. How freaking useless is cora normally with a shield boost power but with her constantly teleporting away from the party.

FYI Using a sniper rifle to take out the Progenitor's turrets from a distance without it detecting you always glitched the boss fight for me. The turrets destroy just fine, but then the Progenitor impossible to kill.

This is what happened to me on my last playthrough. After taking out the turrets (no RPG needed, just a sniper rifle) the Progenitor became impossible to damage. I was unloading absolutely everything I had on it and it's health bar never shifted a millimetre.
Eventually, after something like the sixth attempt it suddenly started working properly. No idea why.
