Update: The release date has been bumped to Nov. 17th and they've also updated the cover. (Updated the OP). Hopefully that's not Inky's severed arm he's carrying there... Oh man, please please tell me Solas is going to spend the entirety of his plan vaguely waving the severed arm at Very Serious Elven Doodads. This is now the one and only thing I need to see in DA4 to be satisfied with the finished product. The combat can be pool noodles and cheez whiz for all I care, Solas sighing as he pulls out a whole-ass arm and flops it around in the Veil’s direction is the full experience, as far as I’m concerned.  |

I had honestly began to wonder if I had imagined seeing gameplay of that. I haven't heard anyone mention it since. If we actually get some juicy details on cancelled projects i'll have to bite the bullet and buy a copy.

I just realised that it's part of concept art from Trespasser presentation Heh, I know those are dev goals, but the slide makes them look like Solas’ goals. “Oh noooo, I’ve really played myself this time! I have no idea how to deal with the elven gods, and meanwhile, the shadow Inquisition is researching how to stop me, an elven god! And right after I taught them to be suspicious of ancient elven infiltrators! On top of that, I keep villain monologuing and petrifying people, ensuring that all the Qunari, Venatori, and Evanuris attention is squarely on me! What a terrible predicament the ol’ trickster has found himself in! These briars are soooooo sharp! Anyway, time to put on this dragon mask so I can go coordinate with my Super PAC.” |

“Thankfully”? Thankfully!!!! The arm thing is all well and good. But....where did the blood on Solas's face come from? In a final version with petrified qunari and a nuclear mark, makes you wonder what the devs originally had in mind to warrant a blood smear on Solas's face.
