...So this predicament that we find ourselves in is here to stay. For quite a while still too. Can't remember who was it if it's one of them politicians or clinical people who referred to this situation as a marathon, not a sprint. And there is toll it's taking and are now casualties even in the families of those still hanging around here alreadly. But we need to ride it out. For that we need to stay safe and stay strong. Look after yourselves and your close ones. Seek help when needed. And again, stay home, stay inside you bunch of........ Go play some ME3MP already while at it. Pop around here for a lolimaretired post now and then. ....better do that then go rehashing our who's missing threads into a roster and getting DragonRacer to abuse the admin powers and send email requesting status confirmation. we won't but, you know. Be safe. |

It's not going to go away anytime soon. Just look at New York. Andrew Cuomo took charge and acted quickly but still couldn't prevent the infection rate from exploding. It's not a question of whether the other states will see a similar pattern but rather how bad it's going to be. What we can do is practice proper hygiene and social distancing until this pandemic is over.

Well, this thread turned shitty pretty quickly.  hey we might be all but a shadow of our past glory nowadays but we still are who are. we are BSN. something-something vile something depravity and somesuch... or whatever we got called back in the day. and lets be honest, while all mild and gentle, Doc and DF managed the objective just as fine. the rest was... inevitable. i do feel outplayed, with the high point reached, no room to get back on the two of them earlier culprits. means i need to find another thread again. sigh

Funny one ! Here no distance was specified at first, and police was working with 500m IIRC, without anything official. Now it s clearly written 1 km.
We have a lot of police examples enforcing the rule at their conveniance too, like fining people on bikes to go shopping, or shopping in bakeries ... WTF, bakeries are open...

Life is pretty normal in Singapore. Unless you are under a quarantine or stay home notice, you are free to wander around. Entertainment places are closed but most shops and supermarkets remain open.
Breach of a quarantine or SHN will have consequences

At the same time, I don't know about the old BSN, but in this new one I made a point of honor to laugh at what I feel is stupid (though it hurts sometimes) . And the fact that, when the probability of quarantine for a respiratory disease became apparent, here in "La Belle Province", the first thing to disappear from the supermarket shelves was the toilet paper was a shock for me. An even greater shock came when I learned that the situation was not singular and that in several places throughout the world the same thing happened again and again. The hand sanitizers were only the second! Ultimately, "we will fight, we will sacrifice and we will find a way, because that's what humans do..." So stay safe 'yall!
