Noob influx

I've met a whole slew of new people - and I really do enjoy seeing new blood in the ME MP meat grinder. We have lots of new Krolords, Puggernaughts, Hsol and even a few adventurous TSols, Quarians, etc.

Why do I call it a meat grinder? Because if you don't know the mechanics this game will destroy you. We were all there, learning cover mechanics, right and left hand advantage, how to lean out of cover and fire, over-cover grabs, charging, barriers, staggers and the whole gambit of neat mechanics that the devs baked into the game.

Some of these new people are literally N-7 1's. I met one the other day - when a biotic explosion went off they just stood there, taking it all in and computing what just happened. Somehow the devs actually captured the fun of the ME2 Adept in a MP game - so that if you have the right group makeup your enemies will die in new and interestingly explosive fashions, while helplessly floating in the air or rag-dolled or sucked up into a singularity.

Biotic explosions aren't enough? We gots tech explosions too! Sometimes its just too tempting to fire up (pun intended) the old Vorcha Pyro and bring the pain. Let us not forget to be in character - having the cold and uncaring gaze of a Geth Pyro that can see and shoot through walls, only to set your enemies on fire when you get a line of sight. At least the Geth can't smell the cooked flesh - but this might explain why the Vorcha are always salivating.

At some point the game gets more and more fun as you gear up and learn characters and mechanics. At some point the meat grinder is what your enemies are in, as we and our N-7 pals learn to turn the handle. I've even seen all Volus strike teams - this game has the most comical and fun combinations possible. Imagine seeing the Reapers getting the business handed to them by 4 little beach balls, rolling about and cloaking, shooting guns as big as they are. There are plenty of good times to be had in the game.

So yes, I love seeing new people joining the fight.

I wouldn't mind seeing newer players picking up ME3 MP. I haven't played in a long while, because IRL stuff and my internet connection cutting out before I took the break <.<.

I haven't checked the PS3 Pug crowd. Last time I was still playing regularly, I noticed I did ran into the same players pretty often like 50% of the time I did. So would be good to see some new faces.

So when u buy ME3 on steam, u still need to install origin to play ?

Hi there, Actually i just got mass effect 3 with an EA access promotion.

I didnt know the server were up in 2020

I used to play in platinum long ago with my old PS3 (700+ Hours of gameplay) BUT DAMN, playing again one of my favorite multiplayer games and see that actually a lot of people maintaint this gem alive is very exciting.

Ive just jumped to Gold, its a bit discouraging having to get all weapons and characters but HEY!! I got all the Volus.

Question: As used to be on ps3, Volus are still rare to see in the matchmaking? Because I love the potential of Volus + Tank (Geth Jug) or Wall piercer units (like Cerberus Adept)

Well, I'll perfect my tecnique with volus while I get my Turian Saboteaur

Apart from myself that plays the Volus on a regular basis I don't see that many that play the Volus on PS3, I would guess they're a little more common on other platforms but I wouldn't know for sure.

I mainly play the Volus Sentinel though, but I would occasionally switch it up and play the other Volus variants.
