Was thinking about firing up an Andromeda SP playthrough, but was looking for some build/loadout suggestions to make things interesting. I've done a Biotic Charge/vanguard/adept build and a Tac Cloak/infiltrator/weapons platform before, but I want to try something different and was having trouble coming up with ideas. What's your favorite build in Andromeda? Your favorite powers? Favorite weapon?

One can use Warp with mod instead of Throw but Throw has other niceties like Vadering enemies away from high platforms. For Energy Drain you'll get techsplosions or with detonating throw you get biotic... but by carefully launching them near eachother one can get double tech and one biotic - at least in MP. I dont remember if it applies to SP. Third power can be what one choose, but I imitated last time Asari Sentinel and used Backlash. Favourite weapons N7 Valkyrie modded and Dhan shotgun modded to taste.

Since you already played weapon/biotic focused builds, how about my elementalist build: - Snap Freeze (or Cryo Beam if you are on console)
- Incinerate specced for prime and detonate
- Energy Drain specced for prime and detonate
- Sentinel Profile
- Fusion Mod of Adrenaline, or Rapid Deployment
- Whichever light weapon you prefer
The idea is to have low power cooldowns and just cycle through your primers and detonators. Technically you have 3 primers, and 2 detonators.

Is it pretty much instantaneous? And what is the range on it? I like this idea of power/combo-spamming tech/sentinel though, I'll probably give this a try. Now I just have to decide on a satisfying gun to use (that's one of the areas where I always thought MEA came up kind of short compared to ME3- there isn't as wide a variety of guns that are really satisfying/fun to use).

The most fun I have had in SP was with:
* Cryo Beam - Snap Freeze evolution * Invasion * Turbocharge
Cryo Beam / Invasion can explode groups of mooks. The last skill could be subbed out for whatever (throw, incinerate), but is good for making weapons decent.
To answer the question above, you need to have the beam on the group a couple seconds. You need to be at relatively close range.

Favourite build is Sentinel using Incinerate to prime combo's, Energy Drain and Invasion. Or Soldier using Concussive Shot, Turbocharge and Flak Cannon or Tactical Cloak if you want to be a bit more stealthy.
Favourite weapon The Valkyrie with Auto-fire mod/dual mod extension and as many KC's you can fit on it.

And I've always wanted to try to fit Invasion into a SP build (I liked it in my short time in MEA:MP) but can never seem to. And its pretty weak that you can't control squadmate power-use, Peebee never seems to cast Invasion where I need her to. So I may well try that- started a game earlier, but haven't gotten around to respeccing yet.

It's instant if they don't have shields. Not sure about the range, but it's short/medium for sure. That's why I have Energy Drain and Tech Armor.

For armor I think I used mostly Angaran ones with some biotic parts for +biotic +tech.

I think I'm going to try the auto-fire mod on the Valkyrie like dazk suggested, I see some reddit and other threads talking about this particular combo so it sounds like its pretty popular. Already found a few pieces of that angaran armor set that gives + tech damage so that's probably what I'll stick with, at least initially

So Autofire, Dual Mod Extension and I think at the start you can put three KC's on it, later once you get the cryo perk that lets you have an extra augmentation/mod (after Kadar is 40% I think) you can put an extra one on. Armour, I use Heleus Explorer or Pathfinder depending on what you are playing as.

Didn't see it in research/development and the Nexus vendor didn't have it, and I can't find anything else online about where you can get it.

^ nevermind, Nexus vendor had one the next time I checked The Nexus Bendor has it and the dual mod extension every second time you visit her. So if you go there when you dock and go and see her she'll have either of them and then do some stuff on the Nexus and come back and she'll have the other one. You can rinse and repeat just by visiting another part of the Nexus I think.

But I was able to get the dual mod the first time I was there and then the auto-fire mod the 2nd time so I'm good to go now

I started Andromeda for the very first time this year and am having a lot of fun with the crafting and testing out different builds. Here is the current build I'm playing with and I am having a ton of fun: The Shockwave Specialist.
At first I thought the biotic ability shockwave was useless for ME:A considering how wide open the fights are, however, it is now my favorite power especially once you achieve the Rank 6: Lifting Shockwave which briefly suspend enemies in the air AND prime them for combo detonations. Shockwave is a fantastic crowd control ability because of it's ability to affect multiple enemies at once as well as travel through solid objects. It's the perfect power when approaching Kett and Outcast camps, where typically they like to cluster. My strategy is simple: 1) Get as close to the cluster as you can and as quickly as you can. I mostly prefer to hide behind a large Kett vehicle or Nexus crawler for cover 2) Fire the shockwave through the cover towards the center of the cluster This will effectively clear out any unshielded foes, sending them flying away from the main fight area. For example, firing shockwave in the middle of a cluster of 6 Kett, will fling the unshielded Chosen away, leaving only the Anointed and the Destined for you and the team to fight with a better numbers advantage (3 vs 2, 3 vs 3). I like to pair Shockwave with a fast firing, fast recharge power: - Incinerate (prime): Perfect for setting off fire explosions which is great against armor and also hilarious to watch your enemies launched into the air on fire
- Throw (detonate): Use this if you enjoy playing with your food. After shockwave sends your foe into the air, launch a biotic throw at them, however, make sure to aim below the target so the heat seeking biotic throw has to curve upward to hit your enemy. This will send them into the stratosphere. I've turned it into a bit of a game to see how high and far I can launch someone. Feel free to take out a sniper rifle for funsies.
As for your third power, that's totally up to you, I sometimes toggle between: - Singularity: More combo explosions and pairs nicely with the N7 armor
- Remnant VI: Sometimes Zap will target an enemy hit by shockwave mid-air
- Aegis shield: Provides some instant mobile cover in case you do get flanked or need to move closer to the enemies you've flung around the map
- Charge: Launch an enemy in the air and finish them off in the air. It's a ton of fun
As for profiles, you'll want to focus on biotic/tech recharge speeds (depending on your other powers) as well as biotic/combo explosion damage and radius - which are your Sentinel, Adept, or Explorer profiles. Depending on your recharge times, this can be a gunless build, but if you're looking for recommendations, I could probably write a whole new post. For now, I'll leave a couple of gun builds I'm currently using. Note that these are not the most powerful or recommended best guns, merely the ones I'm having fun with. My Ryder is at level 67 and at the point of OP so I'm kinda smurfing myself to play with my food longer. - Cerberus Harrier: Mattock with Automatic Fire mod. Focus on damage, stability and penetration mods. If you want to be true to the original gun from ME3, keep the magazine small
- Fast Firing Carnifex: Carnifex with Automatic Fire mod. It's a lightweight, high damage, very stable gun. Focus on magazine and damage mods.
Lastly, I play on Insanity so these suggestions should work on any difficulty level.

Solider profile with Turbo Charge, Singularity, and Remnant AI (or Assault drone) powers and abilities with the Omni-Blade, Ghost X9 Assault rifle, N7 Eagle pistol, and the M-90 Indria Sniper Rifle with Clip, Barrel, and Scope mods for each gun with Stock for the AR, Melee boost for the pistol, and weight reduction for sniper rifler.
