First Inky and Dorian are now always friends. Not a problem in most of my worldstates but another stupid reason to cut that much of the decisions. Second it hurts me that Isabela and now in this talk Hawke won´t be mentioned. Its just so vague and i hate it for it.

It comes from a person sympathetic to the game who says that scenes like the one between Taash and Isabela are rightly mocked by large parts of the player base, and explains why. This is the big difference between Veilguard and BG3. BG3 certainly has its faults. But it doesn't preach.

That might be more true than you might think. Endymion has a video where he claims he has some inside information about what has been going on at Bioware since 2014. Not sure what to make of it, and as always info from people heavily involved in the culture war has to be measured with care, but it does click nicely with what we've been seeing of the game.

If the video is about war of ideas that was waged between the remnants of old Bioware vs new people who wanted to take it in new directions, it would make it much more believable after examining the difference between the first two thirds of the game vs the last one

I say this as an objective observer

That Jason Schreier, the guy with a lot of contacts in the industry, is currently going on a borderline unhinged rant about how sale numbers don't equal profit (which in the realm of microtransactions is true but Veilguard has little of these, and the only other ways are ... shady, like Ubisoft's subscription), implies to me that numbers are low. But we'll see I guess

What makes it worse, is to this DAY! I remember the 400 page thread about "Why did Loghain do it?" and Mr Gaider even weighed in, and described the independent thought process Loghain had leading up to the moment in question. A few days ago there was a tweet by Gaider about how he doesn't want to play the game for several reasons, like everything I ever saw him writes it was very genuine and honest. Now I hope he won't play this game. It's like watching someone you know butchers your baby
