As some may know, I became a bit rocky and skeptical at the beginning of the week, even doubting if I would buy the game on first release, but after the latest revelations: "I'm back baby!" The optimist has returned so it is just as well I didn't go into seclusion and avoid the spoilers because they are what has made the difference. In particular Solas' regrets that featured in the video. It is good to know that he did feel regret about Felassan and we saw something else even more revealing concerning a mural in the Lighthouse. Also, did that have Solas with hair? |

In regards of the spoiler I think Trick Weekes said on discord that ancient elves lose hairs with time, after centuries (I think it was around a thousand years, but I don't recall with precision). It was the first hint towards Solas being old, and the lighthouse mural also confirms it due to the fact that he was around when the Evanuris became 'gods'.
His hairs in the mural also matches the one he had in the War Table concept art for Inquisition.

In regards of the spoiler I think Trick Weekes said on discord that ancient elves lose hairs with time, after centuries (I think it was around a thousand years, but I don't recall with precision). It was the first hint towards Solas being old, and the lighthouse mural also confirms it due to the fact that he was around when the Evanuris became 'gods'.
His hairs in the mural also matches the one he had in the War Table concept art for Inquisition. It was Epler, who said that. And before i saw that mural i thought it was a joke lol. Got it, I misremembered who said it. I do wonder, will Solas appear with his hairs in some flashback around the Crossroads? In any case, I'm personally happy they reused his old concept art.

I think the combat looks fun. This and the level traversal gives it a Mass Effect 2/3 vibe and those were games I really enjoyed. For the first time in forever I can see myself enjoying the moment to moment gameplay loop in a Dragon Age game.
I think the character creator is good compared to other Bioware ganes. That triangle slider to slide between muscle mass and whatever, that's a nice addition, I played another game like it and thought it was a nice way to do things. Was it GW2? Sliders are always welcome. It's nice. Not the second coming but a nice addition and a good step forward.
