I like Champions of the Just, but I have a hard time making any Inquisitor ignore the time magic stuff in Redcliffe once they've seen it. The only times I've played CotJ, I didn't even let the Inquisitor go talk to Dorian, just sent them straight to the Templars. I'm on DA2 in my Dragon Age replay right now. I hope that by the time I finish DAI, we'll at least have a release date for DAV. Yeah I have a sneak yfeeling ew'l lget one in the next coupl eo fweeks by the time I get round to DAI I suspect we'll know the date especially as I'm playinmg Mass Effec tfirst I'm about half wa ythrough ME1 atm though I probably be mostl yfocusing on sidequests I ma ymake a start on Novreia latre dependin gon how much I get done.

Because i am very hyped right now. I read through the first 10 pages or so and find some funny positive things to show up again. I'm tentatively hoping for Maevaris and Harding, but anything else is a bonus. Speaking of romance, I'm still waiting for that dwarf LI. I haven't given up on Lace Harding, yet... Time to celebrate victory I saw pink butterfly wings! Lucanis first showing up Yes, Lord of fortune are in the game. Let's go pirates. First, stopped before he hurts anyone. After that, some poetic justice like being sealed in the same inescapable prison with the other Evanuris for all eternity. I have to laugh very much. Be careful what you wish for.

So quick question/ 'poll'.
I know there is a lot of frustration with elements of the marketing but where is everyone sitting on their purchase plans? Pre order? Day 1? First week? Sale?
Right now while I am definitely curious about some things like high level gameplay and the CC pretty much all my big concerns have been answered and they are saying a lot of the right things to where if they pull it off they could have something special on their hands. Granted I suppose I was going to be a really easy sell but if the game looked and felt nothing like DA it would've been a possibility. So I'll be pre-ordering the game as soon as I can.

I'll admit that I really want the physical copy because games I really know I'd like I wouldn't want to lose access to, however the ability to pre load is a huge tempting factor for getting it digital for that very reason. On the flip side though if I am unable to get the time off from work, which is likely at this point, I figure I'll go pick up my copy before work starts then start installing it that way it'll be waitinf for me when I get home...unless I still need to finish my playthrough of INquisition.

Yeah, starting the download and install on Steam before work and then leaving my computer on all day is an option too, I suppose. Pre-loading would be more convenient, though.

Like Graphics especially shading Varrics look A new location Probably the new companions Like solas as an advisor but how does inquisitor fit in
Dislike No blood magic and no brothels-it’s a gut feeling it’s less roleplay and more dai combat with sprinkles of roleplaying-dai was a far departure from dao Origins-hoping it’s more than your a warden and you get special dialogue with a warden buddy . Willing to bet we get no visions like we did in origins
Less open world-10 years in development and we get small zones filled with generic demons and venatori . I want unique enemies and lots of npcs.
Have a feeling that tactics are gone as it appears we have limited control over companions. Unlike dao or Bg3 there’s probably very little sneaking, no diplomacy to prevent fighting
No mabari
Probably nothing like da2 even though we are in a city. Doubt we get a serial killer quest etc . I hope I’m wrong

Bought a copy of the DA GI magazine for posterity and to ensure I can have it so I can reference it if I want. Ugh all that other coverage they did specifically online is probably gone though.

We need a new gameplay video, this time showing different parts / acts, to give players a better sense of the game, unlike the last one - which was likely an unplanned panicked response / damage control following the disastrous trailer-companion reveal. So they chose the Minrathous portion, which is probably more dark and gritty than say, Arlathan Forest - to counter the so-called “Fortnite” impression that the trailer left, in like, a big way.
We should be seeing more about Rook, the companions, locations, gameplay details, more ability reveals, armors/looks, the character creator, the lighthouse… at this point. Marketing until launch is crucial, and after a couple missteps, they need to get this train back on track. Show us what you’ve got, and make it good! Can’t afford another Andromeda or Anthem, and this slow-drip method isn’t helping, IMHO. Help us help you, BioWer! 🤷♀️

Twitter and other responses were damage control. But the gameplay trailer really looks like it was their plan. As for why i think they wanted to much in one video. They wanted to show combat, dialoge and consequeces of CC without spoilering more of the late game. So they show the start of the game. I think it would have been better, if they would have make more different videos. one for combat, one for dialoge and one for faction differences. That also would have gave them more things to show in july.

Help us help you, BioWer! 🤷♀️ Not damage control when they announced said gameplay demo at the very end of the trailer and given these things it was probably in the works for months. And honestly does anyone who compare it to Fortnite actually bothered to post examples? Only people I see bothering to do their research are the ones defending the game and pointing out its pretty much always looked like this. I mean I kind of am curious but I am also loathe to do so because I am sure I will die by cringe. And so what? You want them to show off everything all at once until they have nothing to show until the game is coming in October/ maybe November? So they have to then give off more stuff that won't be beneficial to us? They have shown off the game. They are showing off the game. They will show off the game. And really we tend to get a lot of mraketing closer to release with many games as review embargoes lift and we start seeing people play the game on YouTube/ Switch. Which is pretty much where people will go and what people will remember most and be the most beneficial to them in the long run. Currated trailers don't tell us about the game, gameplay does.

I'm pretty sure that the "gameplay preview video" they quickly published after the character trailer reactions was damage control. That's not necessarily a bad thing, because for me personally it worked and made me actually queue up for the full gameplay trailer which I probably wouldn't have done otherwise.
Higher level gameplay with a full selection of skills in a spoiler free area would be nice. A peek at the character creator would be appreciated. Other than that I'm good.
Never played Fortnite so I can't make any valid comparison.

I think the ycouldan dperhap sshould have given us moe rin Jul yI feel t okeep th ehyp egoing bu totherwise I agree there isn' ttoo muc hof a rush a sthey have given u ssome stuff t odigest. Yeah I think i twas mayb ehalf planned asI thin ki twas gamepla ythe yha dpreviousl yrecorded but the yweren' tplanning on initiall yreleasing it a sfast as they did. The ymostl ydid that I thin kt ocounte rthe negetiv epress from th ecompanion trailer .I do agree he situation was blown out o fproportion as I coul easily tell tha twasn' tgameplay. As one hing that's always prevalen tin Biowaer games i sthey always hav eheal thbars for hero and co,mpanion salongside healthbars for an yenemies in the area and stuff like that as we saw in the actual gameplay trailer.

🤷♀️ While I do agree the companion reveal trailer did have "Fortnite!" vibes to it, I think it was just a holdover from when the game was going to be "live service". The game play reveal trailer was much better, but I do agree that we still need more information.
While I don't think it's "damage control" that they're in, it's more that I think the DA team learned some lessons that the Andromeda team (hopefully) learned - so I don't think we're going to see any early demos, no early access to the CC - they're going to keep this pretty much under wraps right up until the release of it. Which is a shame, really, because I'm still not near getting this game, unless it's years later and on a discount sale with *everything*.
I remember reading that they did learn that Inquisition was too "bloated", and are refocusing on smaller, tighter maps (DA 2/ME 2). I'll see if I can find the article (came across it on my phone). I believe it was from ScreenRant? So if that's the case, that would be another positive check in the "buy" column for me. I would still need to see one or two more things involving game play outside of combat before being in to buy, possibly day one (not pre-order; I doubt I'll ever pre-order another BioWare game sadly).
