House sitting and watching Absolution in the process. Trying to obviously pick up on things that could become important for Veilguard.
Lot of regret in here so...

But its not exactly a comforting thought since that stuff was pretty uncomfortable.

Yeah there's often one or 2 things that your companions can do that the main character can't like for example on Thessia toward the end of ME3 when Liara uses her encryption knowledge t obreak through th ebarrier. That's why sometimes on some missions characters have to accompany you because you will need an abiiity they have. I don't agree with that. Remember what happened in ME2 on the collector ship? It was the hologram that was able to open doors without being on the ship. During the Thessia mission, t'soni could have sent the code to Shepard's omnitool to disarm the barrier, but because it was Thessia, t'soni had to be there regardless. The point was there are occasions when it is necessary not that ther aer possible workarounds I was jus tusing that as an example as that was the firs tthin gtha tentered my head

It's all got me replaying Dragon Age. Replayed Origins and 2 (2 was more nostalgic that I remembered). Just re-started Inquisition and it's a joy.
I've never technically* finished the game.
* (The mosaic bugs were fixed only after I was last done).

Starting my Dragon Age Origins playthrough after I wrap up this BG3 playthrough, but I've already bought it + bookmarked some mods.
All I'll say is thank God for people putting up modding guides for DAO in 2024 cause I have zero patience to wade through the horror that is modding this game.
More excited to start DA2 tbh buuuut I want to go in order to refresh my memory of the games... been so long.

I boarded the DA train all those years ago via the DA2 platform, so going back to properly experience DAO for myself and not just by the things I've read has been really interesting so far. I'm loving getting to know all these characters - some for the first time and others, like Leliana, in a new way - and Alistair is such a sweet puppy of a man, I'm glad I'm doing his romance. Getting to see him again once I get to Inquisition will be interesting, as I've never played through that option.
I'm very much looking forward to getting to replay DA2 again though since it has always been one of my favourite BioWare games - if they could manage to pop an Aveline cameo into Veilguard I would be super super happy heh.

I've never technically* finished the game. * (The mosaic bugs were fixed only after I was last done). I'm planning to do the same... soon(TM). With the added awesomeness of mods - things like the Warden armor sets, bug fixes, cooler weapons, and way, waaay better hair options (I'm looking at you, Inquisition! 😡) I have to say though, the first two games I'm finding it very... odd, to play on mouse and keyboard. Maybe because I'm not that used to it? But definitely better/easier to play those two with a controller, on Xbox. Combat, for sure, and even the UI/GUI situation I personally feel was a lot better, easier, more intuitive. But, whatever. I'm going for a different experience anyways! ^^

It was getting a bit lonesome in the Lighthouse so I decided to swing by the hypetrain for a bit. I have such a itch to just try to read all the things... I just want them to release the game now thank you. Trying to keep myself busy with DA:I, next time I get some time to play I will get going with "Champions of the Just". This time round I will ally with the templars, do believe my Inquisitor went with the mages last time round. It will be nice to have Dorian and Cole back in the party.

I remember really enjoying playing through that part of the game last time. Have tried both the mage- and the templar-version so I have some vague idea of what's to come but I have forgotten a lot which is nice. I do not believe that I played a human noble last time round so it will be interesting to see if nobility- or chantry-knowledge will give something extra. My Inky has relatives who works in the chantry and probably have some distant relatives in the templar order as well so she probably sided with them for familiarity.

I like Champions of the Just, but I have a hard time making any Inquisitor ignore the time magic stuff in Redcliffe once they've seen it. The only times I've played CotJ, I didn't even let the Inquisitor go talk to Dorian, just sent them straight to the Templars.
I'm on DA2 in my Dragon Age replay right now. I hope that by the time I finish DAI, we'll at least have a release date for DAV.

She was so pro mage and anti Templar but then saw the Tevinters running around and then time magic she be like 'this shit is weird' and went to the Templars.

Funnily enough, it was seeing all the weird magic stuff going on in Redcliffe that made my hunter Lavellan think "We need Templars." The logic being we will be going up against powerful mages from Tevinter after sealing the Breach so we need magic negation specialists. I was happy to work with the mages from the south but it was clear Fiona had sold them and the people of Ferelden out to Tevinter when she indentured them all to Alexius. Why would I trust the time bending Magister in this? (Of course it turns out we can't and it was just a trap). Why would I trust Dorian, whom I don't know either and is another member of the Tevinter elite. He may appear charming but Alexius may just be his political rival. The Chantry may be bad but Tevinter are the old enemy of my people. So I headed off to recruit the Templars.

She did NOT trust the Templars at all and kind of even had a romanticized middle finger type view even of Tevinter of an extent. But faced with the practical reality of the situation and the big mystery and question marks about what was going on with the magic she really didn'[t have a lot of choice. The negative reputation of the Imperium seemed to have been earned.

I like Champions of the Just, but I have a hard time making any Inquisitor ignore the time magic stuff in Redcliffe once they've seen it. It wasn't about trusting a magister, or the southern mages, or Dorian. It was about getting Tevinter out of Redcliffe and getting to the bottom of the time magic. But I could see the "we really need Templars now" logic working for some Inquisitors.
