Finally, my first Platinum solo

Daymn I salute you!

As long as I've played this I've never done Platinum solo... it feels so impossible and nerve wrecking and tbh I'd rather play with others on Platinum Gold I can do even with Avenger M8's but Platinum is just that much more enemy rushing I get freaked and fail. Yep I've tried it back in the day around 80k APEX with Angaran Avenger I think.

Smart of you to equip Incendiary ammo; as you have seen, I generally prefer Disruptor ammo in my solos, but it makes handling a double Boss objective much harder because the Behemoth will constantly regenerate his armor/health when not on fire. I typically used three to four Cobras to take it out in my solos with Disruptor ammo.

Yeah, I used to run Disruptor exclusively in Platinum against Kett, and still run it on Snap Freeze characters, but now I run Incendiary on Kett missions (unless someone has a Snap Freeze - me or a party member).

For Outlaws and Remnant I run Disruptor 95% of the time in Platinum.

And yep, this is all about the Behemoths. They are really tough to deal with without Incendiary for me. With Incendiary, I have a pretty good chance on Boss, but without it no way. And so while I’d rather have Disruptor every other wave, what to do? At least against Kett, it feels obligatory...

And yeah, I got a screen shot at the end! 50,273 points in 42:21...

I should try with Juggernaut. I’ve gotten better with him such that he’s a stronger gold solo character for me than any of the cloakers. Unlike any cloaker, I can pull of Hacks and Uploads with him sometimes (depends on the spots, etc.). When I’ve tried to power through on Hacks with him on Platinum though, it just doesn’t work because the mini-bosses just keep spawning. Of course with a non-cloaker Devices is a lot harder - sometimes you get a device location sequence such that all the enemies are already there and then you just lose.

Anyway, I feel like I could probably pull off a Plat solo with Juggernaut and Commando, the trick is that I really don’t want to solo per se, usually, I just don’t want to jump in on a random host and suffer from terrible network conditions, LOL, so I start a solo and see who shows up.

When you really do decide to solo and set the match to private it is very exciting though. Team games are, honestly, a bit too easy (unless you have a terrible beginner that screws up your Hack or Upload). I feel like a strong team of 2 even could extract on Platinum 19 times out of 20 if you had one cloaker and one tank or high DPS character. Solos are a lot more challenging and really force you to play your best.

So, maybe. Whatever the case, I’m really glad I got this one before the game fades away. It would have haunted me years from now, I’m sure, if I had never gotten it done, LOL.

True the downing part especially, I will try once and see if they can do anything else, if not I'm gonna try to save the game with others if possible.
Thankfully we have some gating when reviving and waking up (not counting very heavy lag games) unlike in DAIMP where I today watched a PUG on "Silver" die immediately when he got up and said "Can't wait to get wounded again!".

Hmmm, I think it is unlikely I will do all of that. Doesn’t the Xbox itself record stuff? I guess I could experiment with it or do online searches, but I haven’t bothered yet...
