There was a similar dilemma back in 2007, when Mask of the Betrayer, the Witcher, and Mass Effect all came out in a 2 month span. I played and finished them all in order. Almost lost my job and flunked out of school, but I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Of course, back then, games weren't 100+ hour monstrosities like they are now...

I try to finish a game before i move on to the next....i made the mistake of not finishing Hellblade...great game, but i just got away from it for awhile and i think i will be able to jump back into it since the controls are pretty simple....but i kinda stopped in the middle of it.....I still have "Shadow of the Tomb Raider" and "Nier Automata" on my backlog of games to even start....
I don't like to start a new game if i'm in the middle of playing one tho...even if i'm anticipating playing the newer game, i will almost always finish the game i'm playing then move on to the next one...

I'm not really tempted by the three games from the original post, but generally, I do have the problem of starting a new game while still playing another. I'm not counting games, I play on a regular basis like DA2 or Vampire Bloodlines, but at the moment I'm playing SWTOR, Kingdoms of Amalur and Pillars of Eternity - none of them small games. And I'm contemplating of getting BG3, which I would start playing immediately...

Under normal circumstances I try, but it is not always possible. It all depends on the mood.
If you work through the backlog and still have fun with it, that's perfectly fine. But under no circumstances should you ever "force" yourself to play games that are absolutely no fun to complete

Well i had the same problem but not anymore because i'm really done with Ubi for the moment. Because of the many issues i have with both games so Valhalla and WD Legion. So i'm waiting for Cyberpunk to release on the tenth of December ( hopefully not another delay ). But lets say both games were fine i would have started with Valhalla then probably Cyberpunk 2077 then WD Legion and i would not have rushed any of those games. And the reason that i would have started with Valhalla is simple because of the beautiful sceneries. I'm not really a fan of walking/running around in big cities.

Definitely a single game at a time, I am only kind of interested in Cyberpunk and have never played any Watchdogs games so Valhalla has my full attention and probably for another PT as well and at at this stage i am 100+ hrs so nothing else till the new year for me.

Yeah after I picked up Immortals I don' t see myself picking up any more games this year. I go t Star Wars Squadrons and the remastered NFS Hot Pursuit for Christmas so I'm good for games I think. As I finall ygot round t ostarting HZD yesterday and I plan to follow tha tup by playing the Halo series on PC and then follow that up with AC Origins and Oddysey. I ma ygive Immortals a try after that but not sure yet. That may depend on how much of an itch I have for playing Mass Effect or Dragon Age again. Though I'm kind of hoping playing games like HZD and the AC games will satisfy that. If it doesn't i'll likely be dragged towards Thedas again. I should be fine in terms of ME given I just finished a run it's more DA that could tempt me back in given it's been a while since I last checked in on Thedas.

Yeah it's like why bothe rwith a CC if w ecan' tsee our character. I'm not against FPS typ egames heck I eve nenjoy a few like Doom and Halo bu tthe ydon't waste etime with CC's because the yknow it's not needed and they'er not trying to be RPG's. When I play an RPG particularly one that has a CC I prefer to see my character. MEA may have faced a lot of criticisnm and the CC may be lacking in options in some areas but at least I can see the Ryder I create each time I play. Heck even the new Immortals Fenyx Rising does a better job from what I've seen and it's not even an RPG.
