People have been calling for ME:A and the ME:OT to be linked but they'd either have to do a comic (like the did in ME:2 on the PS3) or have an online portal where you have all your choices and the new game would need to know which path to read.
There is now a third option, recreate the OT with better export flags and then in the next game (I hope for ME:A2 personally) import that save file as normal now all of a sudden we have our OT choices and can link the two universes neatly.
Thoughts? Could this be the secret plan behind the remaster or is it just a money grab 😅...

We already have the mass effect archives to create our mea world states, they can just add MET games/decisions to it if they are needed for the next game aswell.
EDIT: Oh, I just checked and the trilogy decisions are already in the archive, so we already have a way to import decisions from all 4 games with one action.

The problem was there were many world states so you'd need to know which state to download. With save files you just pick your Shepard's name.

BioWare isn’t going back to save transfers. They stated it caused too many issues, which we saw with the old Shepard Trilogy, hence why they are going with things like the Dragon Age Keep in the future.

You can create a new editable world state, name it, then select what your Ryder and Shepards choices were. Meaning in the future when choosing which worldstate to import you just pick the name you want.
But the archive does also have the Playthrough states section of the worldstates menu. But even they recommend that you check the generated state is correct and you still need to input you MET decisions. Oh, and you'll still want edit the name, unless "Copy of Playthrough 3" sounds appealing to you. (thankfully playthrough state info includes charname & pic, doesn't copy to the worldstate though).
So if they do anything to the 3 remastered games then I imagine it would be making them compatible with the Playthrough States section of the archive. But that may be more trouble then its worth.

Yeah that mass effect archives thing needs to be updated. I just checked it out. In regards to Allers it only gives the option if Shepard romanced her or not, but doesn't include the option that she was never allowed on the SR2. It also doesn't include some of the characters from ME2 if they survived ME3 or not.

Considering the purpose of MEA was to escape the events of the OT (in-game and out) I don't see the point.

The way I see this, they could add written/spoken news articles and mentions of something called the "Andromeda Initiative" but never go into much detail, since at no point is the Initiative actually relevant to what Shepard is doing.
I do find it odd that nobody in the original trilogy would have ever heard about the Initiative, especially if Khalisah bint Sinan Al-Jilani (I remember that name by heart, holy shit) ran a smear story on them sometime in 2184-5, around the time Shepard was brought back. Obviously, it's because at the time, the Initiative did not exist. However, with a few tiny additions, they could tie it together better, and make the Initiative something mentioned in the background, while keeping it strictly irrelevant to the story.

They also made MassEffectArchives.com/ to store choices in a more convenient format, as with DA Keep, but that's years ago.
It's very typical to release a remaster of a last-gen experience before reviving a franchise for next-gen. So it makes sense to polish it up, give people a chance to get familiar (it's been 10 years, small kids have gotten old enough to get to know this franchise again,) and make sure there's buzz when the next chapter is released.

They would be better off making it sound like a conspiracy theory. Ships that can escape the reapers is pretty damn relevant to Shepard.

The way I see it, they're public enough, but not common knowledge.
