Curious...can anyone tell me where to actually buy (physically get my hands on ) a TPM for a Z490 Aorus Master? Gigabyte site says they sell them on site but I come up with nothing. And everything else online isnt a match for the model/series number my board requires. Not urgent now....just trying to think ahead to October 14th 2025 when Windows 10 reaches E O L. Then I either need to find one for my board....OR do a complete rebuild with new hardware that actually comes with a preinstallled TPM. Funny thing is my decade old HP Elitebook has a tpm and a fingerprint reader, but my PC has neither of those things. I think a fingeer print reader on a case that is powered by a USB header would be ideal, but to my knowledge no Case-building company has designed one yet. Go to your BIOS, press F2 to go to Advanced Mode, hit Settings > Miscellaneous > Trusted Computing, and enable Security Device Support. Go back to the Miscellaneous menu and enable Intel Platform Trust Technology (PTT). Save and exit. That's it. Did you forget my post? Check your BIOS first. It should be under Miscellaneous and Trusted Computing. That's where you enable your built-in Trusted Platform Module.

The other day I saw an EVGA RTX 3080 TI FTW3 Ultra Gaming card at Canada Computers for 996 and change. Stock said it was a Clearance price and that there was only a single card left in all of Canada, on the west island near Montreal....I was tempted to buy it. Very tempted. Then I started looking for the 16GB 4080 Master GPU from Aorus....and they don't have any, anywhere. It's not even listed as a product that is carried anymore. They have the 4070TI and the 4090...But the only 4080s that are in stock at all are the entry level cards directly from Gigabyte, and I would prefer the AORUS cards as the AORUS division is said to be their higher end items.
Then I got looking at what it would run me if I were to build a whole new PC from the ground up: New 4K BENQ Mobiuz Gaming monitor (144hz, HDR, Dolby), new 4080 GPU, new PSU, Motherboard, 14900 series CPU...New EVERYTHING.....and it would run me between 7 and 8,000 CAD!
Of course, I only started thinking htis because I am anxiously awaiting the Reqquirements for Forbidden West (and Outlaws) and I'm wondering of my 10900KF and 2080 Super FTW3 Ultra Gaming card will handle it.....But my PC can handle anything I throw at it in 4K at a smooth 60 FPS (or higher according to Razer Cortex) without breaking a sweat....so why worry? Then I also have to factor in that Horizon was made to work on Console which are not as fast or as powerful as a PC can be....there has to be a middle ground somewhere....So I am sure Forbidden West will run just as well as Zero Dawn, Fallen Order, Jedi Survivor and every other game I've thrown at it.
It would be nice though to know at least the Minimum Requirements for Forbidden West. All we have to go on right now is speculation from sites like Game-Debate.com

Though life can change on a dime for people.
I have had to move back to take care of family who are suffering after effects of a reverse mortgage beyond bounds for them to pay: mother and brother.
House is about $150k but they owe near $300k. Both disabled in their own rights: him on anger and mother on business. So I have to pick up the pieces and help.
I doubt I will be able to post or be on here nearly as much or at all till its all sorted out and with the prices around here as high as it is I may have to support them for awhile. AND IF ANYONE SAYS let them live on the streets... That is fine for you to say but in my family -we take care of our own. Especially those with disabilities -which fits them both.
But when I get them set up I will try to come back.
Till then take care all and say prayers for my family and me.

They lost everything from my understanding. Two cars and neither can be sold. Has to be sold for the care of the elderly one who took care of both of them who is beginning to show dementia signs and is still in the hospital.

I know I haven't been too active in this thread lately, but I'm back now, or at least I try to be.  It's over two years since I built my current rig, and you know what that means. Yup, it's time to upgrade again! My 4 month report of the new PC: No problems. No sudden updates, no perf taken by defender (as those do not run at all). I can compose music using 32 samples if I want to (latency is super low) or need to. No tweaks made, this Asus Prime X670-P has super low DPC latency (realtime audio can get cuts if high DPC). WD Black SN850X is more than fast enough for me, Ableton Live opens up in 2 seconds, Omnisphere too. Also the machine is very silent. I need to change GTX1070 sometime to a new GPU though, am waiting for the ridiculous prices to come down  |

So, apparently they are fast, but not fast enough to make a difference. And they run hot and need a cooler? I hadn't looked into them at all, I just chose the first stick that my trusty local store had in stock. First change to the list: Samsung 990 PRO SSD 2 TB it is! |

The MSRP of 799 USD is before added taxes. That's how they show it in the US, but in reality even there people pay more after the local tax is added.
In Europe we get prices that include the taxes. So you should read the MSRP of 799 as "799+taxes", which if we add the common 20% most European countries have, we get a MSRP of 958,8USD. So pretty much in line with what you get in Finland - your VAT is 24% according to Google - so for you the 799USD turn to 990,76USD, which is roughly 910 euros. You get fleeced for like 10 euros extra after VAT.

The MSRP of 799 USD is before added taxes. I know that. The trouble is, I sometimes forget, that I live in finland. And over here it's illegal to advertise using tax free prices. To clarify: Nvidia's MSRP is 799USD, VAT 0% But in Finland it is 919€, VAT 24% included And I get these two mixed up, hence my disappointment. |

New 2024 Blade 16, 4090, 240Hz OLED.
Gonna see how it checks out compared to my previous 2021 Blade, 3080TI, 4k OLED 60Hz.
Somehow Razer is calling the 2024 4k, but it has 2560X1600 resolution in a 16x10 screen.
Side by side comparison will tell me once I get the new Blade set up and downloaded..

The launch of the 4070 Ti Super came and went. Results? Well, there is a single GPU that sells at MSRP, the MSI GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super Ventus 2X OC (920€/1000USD), but that's not a very awe-inspiring card.
What should I buy then? I'm thinking my options are go for broke, and get the Asus GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super TUF Gaming for 1070€/1165USD, or settle for the Asus GeForce RTX 4070 Super TUF Gaming OC, for 830€/900USD.
