I like the way that case is laying on the table... I see the fans pointing down. Is it possible to turn those fans to use on the front grill plate instead of the side? If so then if I combine the Thor V2 side panel with that case... maybe I wouldn't need to lug this 50+Lb case around. Can you give info on this? I only laid it down to work on it. My PC stands vertically.

My PC stands vertically. Still to me it looks better that way -no worries about the card going one way or another and its straight on its own. No bracket need -an obvious plus . Still doesn't answer the question: Is it possible to turn those fans to use on the front grill plate instead of the side?

The glass panel is it removable? Both glass panels are removable. If you want fans in the front, get the O11 Dynamic Evo instead. There are also other cases that offer better airflow like the Fractal Torrent that I highly recommend.

rewindbutton bmwcrazy @gaben7 Energizer Bunny 211 What do you guys think of Black and Decker vs Dewalt vs Craftsmans vs RYOBI for the drill screwdriver that I need for building the desk? I know its a real hard ware question and I am no craftsman -no pun intended but I have never really worked with hand tools I always hire for that. Always been so busy in my computer repairs and building. Makita. I am in the buy it once category, as much as I can afford. Makita is not a top-of-the-line choice, but it is a well-made product with a solid warranty. All of my 18v tools are Makita, from screwgun to hedge trimmer hehe. I am a hobby carpenter. Will share my recent work soon, almost finished with the project now just ~30" of crown moulding to put up and my built-in closet/shelf/bench w/drawers project is a wrap. ... If you aren't sure how much you'll use it, and it is possible it will just barely ever get used, Harbor Freight or Northern Tools will have a very cheap option that will work ok for rare/light use. As usual, it's about budget but for me I consider Makita an upgrade from Dewalt (which is Black&Decker) or Milwaukee. Ryobi is decent too, their warranty has improved but you may have to take them up on it sooner.

rewindbutton bmwcrazy @gaben7 Energizer Bunny 211 What do you guys think of Black and Decker vs Dewalt vs Craftsmans vs RYOBI for the drill screwdriver that I need for building the desk? I know its a real hard ware question and I am no craftsman -no pun intended but I have never really worked with hand tools I always hire for that. Always been so busy in my computer repairs and building. I have experience with all four, but two of them (Black&Decker and Craftsman) are older power tools and may not be representative of current quality and utility. I have a very heavy-duty Black&Decker drill ... suitable for construction work ... but not variable speed so not useful as a screwdriver. My sister has a medium duty Craftsman variable speed corded drill/screwdriver ... very reliable, works very well, but as I said, it's several years old. She has a cordless light-duty RYOBI that is fine for light-duty work such as driving screws out of or back into their holes or perhaps some drilling ... limited energy in the battery packs, so for heavier duty work, I use her Craftsman. I have a heavy-duty Dewalt cordless drill/screwdriver, I really love it, because for almost any job, one of its battery packs has plenty of energy to complete the task. It has saved me a lot of manual effort in various projects. AFAIK, Sears sold Craftsman to Black&Decker, so the difference, beyond duty levels is probably just branding at this point. Most of my Craftsman tools are hand tools, which work quite well and one set (torx) is something I purchased in the last three years, so the quality is still there ... but not necessarily relevant wrt power tools. Generally, I don't purchase tools just for one job, I look to the longer term, what would/could it be used for ... so I tend to go with heavier duty tools ... the Dewalt fills that niche. Pretty verbose, but hope that helps.

@gaben7 @grinch Energizer Bunny 211 Thank you for the replies. EB211 your first link showed me the one I forgot to put into the VS. Since this is a small DIY job kinda like what Paul did here: Would Kobalt be ok guys? They are widely accessible here and priced down -apparently for the Christmas season?

Kobalt is fine, as long as you are near a Lowe's. The warranty is good, the tool is good enough! Eta - funny that in that video posted above, the drill is the same Makita I have Kobalt is a store brand FYI, nothing wrong with it as long as Lowe's stays in business it will be a decent label. Craftsman is no longer the tool it once was, but they seem to be decent... I just know that they paid for the name, it is not the same company anymore since Sears Roebuck is a thing of the distant past now.

Yep I like Makita for the color alone -cyan is my favorite color but Kobalt is a much easier reach -> $$$. Thanks everyone I will now look toward Kobalt for the build. It may also be good doing it this way since there has been flooding here recently.

Black and Decker vs Dewalt vs Craftsmans vs RYOBI Let's first talk about credentials: We remodeled our 1970's house and I did most of the work: tore down walls and built new ones and installed plasterboards. That took 18 months. There's only one real brand in your list, and that is DeWalt. That's what I have and what I can wholeheartedly recommend.

Dewalt (which is Black&Decker) Is that a US thing, because in Europe DeWalt is out there with Milwaukee? And this, because in here Ryobi is just rebranded Chinese trash.

Quiet power is always impressive, nice. I know. It's crazy how a big desktop like this is nearly silent when it's running games. Now the loudest part in the PC is the occasional coil whine from the EVGA RTX 3090 FTW3. On the other hand, I finally managed to order a Gigabyte RTX 4090 Windforce from Best Buy today for $1600. I believe shaqfu or DragonKingReborn also has a Gigabyte 4090. The card should be ready for pickup this weekend. It will fit in my O11 XL case but it's gonna be very tight for the 12VHPWR cable. Since my CableMod 180 degree adapter is on preorder and Seasonic still don't have their 12VHPWR cable ready, I decided to order a CableMod Basic 12VHPWR cable for now. Hopefully everything goes well. Fingers crossed.

Noted about Ryobi and added to knowledge bank. After the others made me aware of it -I think @gaben7 was first that Dewalt is owned by Stanley Black & Decker. Thank you to @grinch we know that they bought craftsman in 2017. Found this which elucidates it better: Also - DeWalt for battery powered. Makita for AC/mains powered. N00bs. Kobalt is everywhere here and on sale to. So its got to be the obvious choice -color could be better though. HOWEVER if I was building or repairing a house like rewindbutton I most likely would go Makitsa -being its part Cyan helps too. This does bring up another question though... Which would be the best wood to build out of -that is something -that if Paul said it I missed it. Thanks for the input everyone.

Dewalt is owned by Stanley Black & Decker. Greybeards still remember the brand ELU; also owned by B&D. They made the best professional cordless drills back in the day, before lithium batteries were a thing. I believe they were rebranded to DeWalt at some point. Some of the features we take for granted today, were first introduced by ELU.
