Duct tape is like the Force: It has a light side, a dark side, and it binds things together Didn't you have the same exact issue with your old motherboard? Are you sure it isn't one of your USB devices that's causing the problem? I remember I even recommended you to unplug all your USB devices and try them one at a time to reproduce the screen flashing behavior.

Thought that was in his old system and was solved and realized that the problem was narrowed to the Logitech Profiler software. This USB issue is in and on the new build he built. HOWEVER if it is as you say and a new motherboard then something is seriously wrong here for it to migrate from system to system. Especially if it is a fresh OS install. I have never known Razor to have such weird faulty issues... Though I am now more concerned that if the issue is in the USB connection or connector on the keyboard wire that it could mess up the front connectors of his computer as well. Energizer Bunny 211 I would disconnect that keyboard till the problem can truly be sourced -lest you really end up out a motherboard.

Good morning. Yes, I did have the same problem with my old system using the Phoenix SLI....that same problem crippled my X99 Phoenix system on a daily basis from Janaury till May 2021, and I stress tested and bug checked everything I possibly could. Motherboard being the exception. Which is why I originally thought it was a motherboard issue...which is why I chose to rebuild.
Then the only thing that had migrated between systems was the KBM and it was still happening.
So then I bought my Razer BW and G502. And after I made that purchase...problem had vanished.
Until recently.
But for now the workaround has been to chnage the USBs to the front of the case and once again the problem has ceased to exist, so for now Im calling it FTW

Though I am concerned that anything migrated over maybe the culprit and since we know the mouse is free and clear... The keyboard must have a short in the cable or connector or isn't properly shielded correctly and once acclimated to a system could be shorting the ports out. So just plugging it into another port buys time but the issue will eventually return. Which can work till you run out of ports I guess. Try this: Plug the keyboard into one of the affected ports and touch the side metal keyboard housing near the caps lock. Do you hear a USB disconnect/reconnect sound? If so the keyboard is -in car lingo: a lemon. Its either that or something else like maybe Razor software -which if using would explain ALOT.

I don't think the ports on your motherboard are broken. Have you tried installing or updating the USB drivers for your motherboard?

The USB Drivers and Policy Controllers are updated, yes.
Ive never updated/flashed the BIOS/UEFI though. Never ever. Not with any Board Ive ever purchased. Always just used the stock version of the UEFI that the MB shipped with.

When my Black Widow was plugged in and I was using it....I did use Razer Cortex and Razer Synapse, but Ive never seen anything from those programs that would lead me to believe they were causing any problem, much less the flashy-thingy. And still, it's now been a solid two weeks since plugging my old Logitech wireless into the front ports...and the problem is non-existent. This is becoming less of a *big deal* but it is still an annoying mystery I would like to solve.

Hi. To be honest I cant remember, Id have to check my amazon account to check the date of purchase. You've got a brand new motherboard, CPU, RAM, SSD, keyboard, and mouse. I think you even changed your monitor and display cable if I recall correctly. Yet you still have the same screen flickering behavior. So we can safely bet that these are most likely not the cause. So you need to find the common denominators here. What else does this new system have in common with your old system? Such as USB devices like your Orico HDD enclosure?

Happened so far: -Old KBM and Orico HDD carry over to the new PC -> One of them has to be the culprit -everything is fine for a long time -Flashy behavior returns -> New KBM -> Flashing persists -> Orico enclosure is beginning to looks sus. I would find a replacement for the Orico asap. And just a long shot, but you never know: Are your PC and HDD enclosure connected to the same wall socket, or to a same extension cord that has multiple outlets?

No, but they are both connected to the same UPS/BatteryBack-up/Surge Protector.....from APC/Schneider Electric. I will keep trying things and will bear your suggestions in mind; truthfully I had not considered the HDD Bay because I so rarely use it. I can't even count on one hand the number of times i've switched it on since I bought it. But it is worth consideration.

they are both connected to the same UPS/BatteryBack-up/Surge Protector I thought that was the case, but wasn't sure. I think we can rule out any wall socket shenanigans then.
