I don’t have 4k or even a PS4 Pro and yet I’m still happy for the simple fact that I don’t have to drag out my older console just to play them. I’m lazy. What can I say. 🙃 I thought the trailer was amazing and very well put together. Awesome job, Bioware~
Now if you could do this for Dragon Age...

Of course they will not add a proper reunion scene at the end of ME3 because that would be way too much to ask right?

I was hoping the trailer and new info would get me on board. But a new coat of paint, even with Mass Effect 1 getting gameplay improvements, isn't doing it for me. Maybe FFVII and RE2 remakes have spoiled me but shiny new textures isn't good enough for me to spend money on time on games I already own. Difference between remake and remaster. One of those money valuation things. I routinely spend more on booze,(and don't get me started on how much I spend on booze daily on a vacation especially Vegas, though next time I'll go a drink less so I don't pass out 15 minutes in to a penn and teller show) so $60 for a game I know i like but this time with some improvements to the game play in the first game. I'm sold. Yeah, I think it's the fact only a remake would have gotten me interested, so the bar was too high even for a quality remaster. That's my own personal bias, no doubt, but that's generally the only re-release that peaks my interest nowadays. I've never generally gotten excited for remasters, unless the game was really old and the new graphics are "night and day."

The small changes in ME1 game play are what pushed me over, if it was just graphics I wouldn't care. Because I don't care about graphics. Its why my complaints about MEA were never the animations, that just does not matter to me. But I do routinely replay the trilogy so if you make 1/3rd of my experience better heck yeah.

The comparison videos and screenshots interested me more then the video because while it was hype these showed the differences between old and new to me. At least for ME1.

getting the controller mods to work properly, without bricking the PC game(s), working screen resolution and in combination with mods was rather difficult, compared at least to plain mod installs (were it mostly was down to order/compatibility)
Obviously EGM, ALOT, ALOV, Recalibrated, MEUITM etc. all have it's place on the classic MET.

I think one of the best things about the Legendary Edition is no multiplayer! I never liked it having an impact on the main game so I'm glad it's now completely removed from that experience.
It was also great to see default f!Shepard in those ME1 scenes. Can't wait to play. My canon Shepard is custom male though so I'm also excited about the improved character creator. That was my number 1 (realistic) wish for this remaster.
Now to decide whether to get this game for PS4 or PC... (or both...)

As a PC owner, I see literally zero reasons to buy this edition. Folks at nexus has done all that Bioware is charging 60$ now (and in some cases done it better than creators). Even mod, that ports default femShepard in ME 1 and 2 looks better. FemShep from "Femshep Appearance Consistency Project" mod for ME1/ME2/ME3 looks much better than this new FemShep from LE.

I’d say this: given the remaster, I’d have tried to make the ‘canon’ femshep as good, in terms of quality of textures and rendering, then Sheploo, which, to me, it doesn’t appear to be the case.

Single Player Content Only, so no ME3MP remaster Guess that means the galactic readiness stuff gets dropped, at least I've heard tha tth eGalactic readiness has been integrated into the single player but how I don' know. If I had to guess though probably through the side quests. Possibly through the resource gathering or something maybe.

Yeah the fact that imports count towards it makes me thin ktha tit's based on all that resourc egatherin gyo udo when you do al tha tprobing in ME2 for upgrades to your ship and everything. Also when yo uvisi tthose worlds an put a marker down next to resources in ME1 as well.

That's all fine and dandy, but if someone were to do a default ME3 playthrough, without playing any of the dlc, will there be enough ems to get the breath scene? You do know there's not enough assets if TIM shoots Anderson, right? Who would do a playthrough liked that? Me for one, and any person who likes to have a different playthrough different from importing saves from ME1/2. Also the player can see the difference from importing a save vs a default playthrough. Hopefully whatever system they might have will avoid the scenario I mentioned. Since the cut reduced the amount of ems to 3100 to get the breath scene, it's always been easy to get the breath scene. Even if someone were to go into ME3 having everyone alive and all the other choices made, he/she can still get a low ems ending. I know, I've done it. excellent.

Yeah, even though femshep was touted like a donut on a string in the trailer, I did still happen to notice adjustments to Sheploo- mostly in those blue eyes. They are less plastic and more reflective and watery. I went back hoping to see if these changes in Sheploo were apparent in ME1 but there was no scenes of him in ME1. So I look forward to seeing more on screenshots for comparison.

Read in yesterday's news blitz, that you can get the breath scene ending if you play ME3 only, but you have to be pretty thorough/almost completionist. True if dlc is played. If not, the most ems that can be acquired is about 2970. Since 3100 is needed, the breath scene won't happen. If the player decides to not let TIM shoot Anderson, Anderson will be nice enough to give the player 200 war assets to get the breath scene.. If the player lets TIM shoot Anderson, no breath scene and because of that, the plaer will lose 100 war assets. What sucks about that is a player heading to Earth with between 3100-3199, believes he//she will get the breath scene, but because he/she let TIM shoot Anderson, the breath scene does not happen.
