the point is the smile is pointed at us and it seems like a hopeful one The point is that, if she is smiling at Ryder, it is completely out of character, which makes the entire thing cheap, pedestrian and a nod to the viewer, not in-universe Liara. Meaning, Bioware is still on with their bullshit again. If this is the level of writing I am to expect from Ryder's return, no thanks. It doesn't have to be in character or universe, it's a teaser and teasers are weird most of the time. They convey something though.

Both of these looks like the pathfinder suit. Her smiling at the crew makes sense cause she knew Alec, so he might have talked to her about his children. It's a familiar face not only known to her but also to us. No, it's not a familiar face to her. Liara probably never set her sights on Alec a single time in her life. Her invitation to the Andromeda was probably a voice mail, like the one she sent back to the Initiative. Otherwise, that conversation, happening via voicemail, has no point in existing. Even as a "think on it" type of answer back, after meeting face to face, it doesn't make sense, as it sounds like an answer back to a previous message, lacking any personal exchange between the two. Unless we want to right it down to the ineptitude of the writers conveying it so. Liara should probably not even remember who the guy that sent her the invitation 600 years ago is even called, less so set eyes on his kids or remember what those looked like, or give two shits about what they've done in Andromeda. They left the galaxy, weren't there to fight the Reapers, or deal with the aftermath, so fuck'em. Considering Liara sent a message to Alec about the Reaper War during the conflict, I don’t think you’re correct when saying she doesn’t care. Quite the contrary, she was probably glad that even if the Milky Way should fall, at least the races and cultures of this cycle will live on. As for the message back, we know the Andromeda Initiative is trying to contact the Milky Way as was the plan. And we know that Ryder knows that Liara is someone they can trust, since she was imports enough to save for the files for Ryder to unlock should he die. Liara will almost certainly be an important person in the Milky Way, between her being the Shadow Broker to a war hero, and her access to records plus her own memory would have her connect the dots quickly. Plus if that is Ryder, then by that point they very well could have developed a positive relationship between communications before leaving to Milky Way as well as meeting in person after, plus however long the mission they’re on progressed by the point of the trailer.

Why should I believe what Gamble tweets? Look at this tweet he made in 2015. If the teaser is to be believed, then his tweet in 2015 is crap. Until something is confirmed about the next ME game, I will take whatever Gamble says as a grain of salt. By the way. Has anyone asked him about that tweet from 2015? Would his answer be Intentional? Dunno. If all of that means nothing which i expect to a degree will be pretty stupid. Still i have some hopes until we see more. I noticed there's nothing in your opening post of any tweets asking Gamble if the teaser means Shepard is returning. Did anyone tweet that? If so, why didn't your post those, since there's one about Ryder? If any one has tweeted asking that, and Gamble didn't reply, did he give a reason why?

I post only those who they reply to, tease or like. People who asked about shepard and those who thought they're gonna return didn't had a like. He doesn't have to give a reason for not replying, maybe it's a surprise or maybe not, we'll see.

Considering Liara sent a message to Alec about the Reaper War during the conflict, I don’t think you’re correct when saying she doesn’t care. Why would she send that message? The one's going to Andromeda is on a one way trip. When hearing the message, then you get Alec and others running wild with their imagination believing the worst. They start having thoughts of the ones they knew and what they must have gone through. It's something they don't need to worry about for something they have no control over. Listen to Suvi. She was sad knowning her family was long dead while she slept on her way to Andromeda. Imagine what her thoughts would be if she were to hear that message? Sure the asari might care, but not in this case. She doesn't know that. For all she knows the ships could have exploded on their way or when arriving, be overrun by enemies they are wipeout. Sure can be optimistic about it, but most likely she wouldn't give them much thought since she will most likely be focusing on the after math of the reaper war. Even when it's several hundred years later, she will likely be focused on whatever she's doing. First off, a war hero. hahahahahahahahaha. t'soni is someone who can be trusted? If the little one does encounter the asari, I wouldn't be surprised if he/she stops by the bookstore to get a few books for reading. She/he stumbles across Shepard's biography. Little Ryder reads it before seeing the asari. t'soni: Hello Ryder little Ryder: Your the one called t'soni my father knew? t'soni: Yes. little Ryder: After listening to my fathers memories, it seemed like my father trusted you. Now after reading Shepard's book, I'm not so sure t'soni: (her eyes grow big) little Ryder: Going by your look, you don't like the sound of that. Let me list a couple of things. You apparently stole the armor off Shepard's corpse to put on display like it's some kind of trophy/prize. Creepy. For some reason you made no effort to inform anyone Shepard's corpse was in the hands of very questionable group, Cerberus. Wow. Not sure what to say about that. You failed to send a copy of some plans to Hackett when you had the chance. Oops. Wait a minute. It says here, you never found any plans. My mistake. Then you tried to blame the humans and protheans for what was happening to your homeworld. Overall, it sound's like you're the last person in the universe to be trusted. Shortly after arriving in Andromeda, my father died. I then was made pathfinder. I did my job very poorly. Since then I've grown a pair. I got rid of the two stupidest squadmates one could ask for because they well... were doing stupid crap. I run my ship short of using an iron fist. Anyways. From what I read in the book, I'm surprised Shepard put up with your crap. t'soni: I'm....I'm...well Shepard did appreciate some of things I did. Ryder: Unfortunately Shepard isn't here to say yes or no.

I would only play a 2nd Ryder game if I could personally throw the the peepee asari and idiot cop reject out of the airlock in the prologue.
