has him having hair? Like, actual hair. And the picture is a cropped, slightly edited version of his concept art. Were we close to having cannon-hand, golden tooth qunari with an awesome braided mohawk, or were the developers just lazy? I mean, they could've just made a cropped version of one of his tarot cards yes, like they did with few other '' team icons '' or whatever you want to call them. Proof: And can we talk about Iron Motherfucking Cannon-Hand Bull?! That's just... way too awesome?! I hope my Inquisitor's arm can be replaced with a cannon.. So, do you think this concept of Iron Bull was making it's way to the final product, and if it was, what do you think was the final straw that finalized the removal of this particular IB concept? Was it the hand-cannon? I don't think it's the hair because the flowy bits are awkwardly wrapped around his chest strap. Maybe I'm reading too much into this whole concept art icon? SO ANYWAY, follow up questions so that this thread isn't completely deserted for lack of interest lol. Are there any character concepts that you wish were in the final product instead of what we got? Or maybe some specific details or outfits? Are there any character concepts that didn't make it into the final product that you are glad didn't? Seen any cool/interesting character/outfit redesigns by fanartists of DA characters that you '' wish '' were real, or at least find cool as is.

Yea I remember that concept art, definitely one of my favorites but I suspect Bioware changed it to better fit the Reaver subclass and probably didn't want Iron Bull to be the only one with a special ability
Hello plenty of things changed in the end product. If you look at Dorian's concept art he had a pet monkey and looked less pretty boy and more roguish. Heck, just look back at alpha footage with Vivienne using Firestorm which now locked behind a "focus ability"
Maybe DA4, they'll cut loose more since they will have better consoles to work with like PS4 Pro & SCORPIO

I remember the old inquisitior concept art and how good it was. But it turns out in game your character looks like a Anthropomorphic Rat crossed with Nigel Thornberry.

They probably wanted to avoid people asking why their Inquisitor couldn't have a similar hairstyle. The variety of hair was considerably reduced from previous games. We had endless variations of bald but no braids or plaited hair down the back. To my mind many of the styles looked too modern for the setting, unlike the ones we were given in DAO and DA2.
Certainly there was no way they could have given Bull the cannon hand because apart from anything else they would have had to have devised a different graphic just for him both firing it and hitting stuff. Still it just goes to show that apparently there are things that can be done if you lose your arm. The epilogue showed a crossbow hand, the concept art shows a cannon; I'd have just settled for a mechanical hand that can hold things. Still the idea that the Inquisitor has to be pensioned off because they only have one hand is clearly fatuous.
I don't know about concept art but I was disappointed that PC mages couldn't have more fancy robes, like Dorian or Vivienne.
