But do Humans still fight eachother on Earth? Was it ever talked about? Nation States still exist on earth (at elast in ME1) and they are in very different states of development (i.e. in some parts of the "third world" of Mass Effect, life might still resemble a technology standard of roughly real life today). However, I don't think any wars between Earth's countries have ever been mentioned explicitly. At least not that I can remember. However, problems like terrorism and political assassinations are still a thing so I certainly could imagine there might also still be armed conflicts between nations.

Some things we see in the game. Earthborn Shepard - no parents, thus there are problems in social sphere. Earthborn Shepard was part of some gang doing nasty things to survive - thus crimes of different scale. -- Still do not know: what did earthborn Sheaprd do to survive before joining military? Smuggling? Blackmailing? Ruthless could kill others to survive? -- ME 1 earthborn Shepard quest is about aliens but it is still a crime and crime of bigger scale already. Kaidan story - aliens are involved but it is about education, thus - problems in educational sphere. Added: Ash story how governement "handled" the situation with their own people. Above mentioned terrorism, politics, assasinations.
So, we have what according to quests in ME itself: problems in social, educational, economical, political (including terrorism) spheres.
At least some logical conclusion (without written documents): humanity spread across the galaxy, but old problems remained.
Some things never change.

The Codex states that individual nation-states still exist on Earth and maintain their sovereignty.
Earth, as of 2186, was experiencing a utopian golden-age, but not everywhere at once.
The Alliance is humanity's galactic "face" but not every human is part of the Alliance.
I would presume that Alliance Parliament is composed of these nations as well as Alliance colonies, given that the Alliance SEEMS to be based on constitutional republican/federal grounds.

It seems with golden-age utopian period, nations composing the government or whatever it could be called and how it/they solve(s) usual problems and work(s) at all so people could be happy, killing each other is a common thing - original question. Though interesting about wars like WW1/2 or countries trying to dominer half of the planet to be some god in ME Earth. Assassinations take place, but wars covering half of the planet? (mean 100 % information).
