This is a bit different from a previous poll, where I posited the question of "Hybrid or Specialist". Here I'm asking based solely on common discipline across classes.
Assume ME3 for the sake of the question, but if you have a different thought-pattern for ME2 or ME1, then have at it.
Of the three teams, you can be any class within each team. Assume that every class has Shepard's skillset, i.e. the Vanguard of Team Combat is the same as Team Biotic. Each teammate can have whatever weapon/armor you decide, within the limits of the games. The only constraint is "no bonus powers"
What team would you want to be on, and why?

This is a tough choice, but ultimately I'd be on Team Biotic.
Each team has two classes I'm very good at and one that I'm decent at, so no easy decision for me.

Not eas yfor me as I lik eall 3 to a point bu tfor me Biotic I love havinj gthe ability of picking up my enemies an dthrowing them up against the bulkhead. Doingthat a tthe moment a lot though as Ryder given I've specced my latest Sara as a Vanguard. Tossing the Kett out of their mountainside base on Voeld atm qand letting them know that no way does she approve of what they're doing to the Angara

What team would you want to be on, and why? If we are assuming ME3 for this question, then biotics are out since they are boring in ME3. That leaves tech or combat. I think tech is more interesting (although not necessarily better), so I will go with tech.

I'm torn between Combat and Biotic. I only play Vanguard but LOVE Guns. On the other hand I love Kaiden for his Biotic and Sentinel skill set.

My preference is Vanguard on the whole and, to me, it seems to be closest to Soldier. Maybe it's Charge that skews my views in the direction. I'm not tech orientated and, though I like biotics, I prefer the mix.

Combat. It contains the proper choice choice of the quiet professional the not so quiet ones who like to solve every problem with a bullet. Or 20...and an explosive. and of the biotics, I know not why a one would choose anything else than flying in with a headbutt and a shotgun blast I do like Engineer as well, but I typically equip it with heavy ordnance and play it like one of these, anyway. Just with a turret to unleash more dakka

I've always played Vanguard in all four games. Tried soldier for the run-and-gun style of gameplay, but once I found Vanguard had the Charge ability I was hooked. I've also tried Adept because I wanted to be considered a "true biotic" per se but I was also accustomed to having guns so that was harder to get accustomed to. I found the Vanguard strikes a good balance between the two and Charge is hands down my favourite abiliy and the one I have the most fun with in any game.
I am disappointed though that in ANDROMEDA, it is not remarked upon if you choose the "Biotic" specialization that Scott/Sara is a Biotic. In the OT it is remakred upon that Shepard is Biotic, especially if you switch classes and make him/her Biotic from 1 to 2, with the 'upgrades' from Cerberus. Yet everyone (especially Liam) always freaks out that Cora has Biotic abilities, and you are second fiddle to her even though you share some abilities like Charge in common...which I really wish they could have kept exclusive to Shepard/Ryder etc....The PC and not extended that ability to NPC characters. Sure, biotic basics like Push, Pull, Throw can be the same....But as the PC, I like to have unique abilities that none of the other characters possess.

Oh, I misunderstood the question. I thought who we (as in real life us) would fit into the team, so I answered tech because that's probably closest to my expertise in real life. In the game, I'd probably be best off with the soldier side of things because I like both Infiltrators and Vanguards a lot (interestingly though, soldier itself is one of my least favorite classes ). But I am leaning more towards the tech side there as well. Biotics are fine but pure adepts are not so much my thing. I'd rather just take Liara along to do that sort of thing.

You're fine, I figured there would be two schools of thought. One being "real-life", the other being "preference". I'd have to consider myself "Biotic" because a lot of the lore regarding biotics has much in common with things like acting, choreography, meditation, being sound of mind, etc. All of which are skills I possess. The other bit regarding eezo exposure, while frightening, would likely work in my favor due to my physiology. Granted, I can only guess, but if I had to guess, that would be my guess. Taking this head-fanon to the endpoint, I think I would be a strange mix of Vanguard and Sentinel. I'd probably focus on my shields/barriers, so likely Tech Armor, Charge, and Nova would be my primary skills. (I know that's two class powers) Then probably Throw. Then Incinerate and Disruptor Ammo. OR Overload and Incendiary Ammo. Sentinel-style Fitness (the one that can boost squad defenses) Assault Mastery (Vanguard) I'm sure that sounds a bit OP, but it's basically a biotics-focused skillset with a bit of tech and combat utility.

Picked combat as soldiers, vanguard, and infiltrators are my most played classes. That said in my first playthrough in MELE I am going to go in the opposite direction and roll as a sentinel.

I would go Team Tech.
It's been a long time since I've played the games so I don't remember exactly what each class can do, but I like the idea of spawning drones to help me and spawning(whatever the explanation for the tech armor and omni blade is) constructs on myself like the armor and blades. Also if I remember right tech had some great power combos in the games.

Based on both real-life and in-game preference, Team Tech. My most played classes are Infiltrator and Sentinel, when I wanted to try something new I looked at them both and said "Huh, these two have something in common." Then I tried Engineer and it was an epiphany. ALL the tech!
When I went into Andromeda I started with Technician and never looked back.
Also, I was a real-life Technician in the Navy so...

Team Combat, but I'd like to try a pure Adept at some point. Maybe after I do some other games after my MELE runs, I'll come back and try one. But I have Sheploo main as a soldier, and my alt FemShep is an Infiltrator, so yeah. Team Guns for me

Nothing stops a biotic from mastering weapons. Nothing keeps a biotic from mastering tech. Nothing a non-biotic can do will give them biotic powers.
Team Biotics for me.
This topic actually brings to mind something that's been on my mind today. I really enjoyed MEA's classless system and a la carte skill selection. My favorite character builds in that game often employed all three disciplines.
For example, my MEA Vanguard was very different from anything MET could allow. I used Charge/Annihilation/Energy Drain, along with passives from every discipline and a healthy dose of guns and swords to destroy everything. Other builds do similar things.
