I should end up with most of them eventually, except for the play on Insanity ones.
Scream as they fall? Does it means pushing the guy out of the window count?

I will. It's the reason I'm going with the Steam version over Origin. Just to put those shiny things in my achievements display. I wonder if they will still give stats bonuses like the old ones did?

Also, I am really curious how exactly the re-balanced the weapons in ME1. In an IGN video, one of the devs (don't remember who it was) said that in ME1 now every class can effectively use every weapon and the weapon abilities just make things better (probably through damage increase and the active weapon abilities). I think that's cool because I can play an infiltrator who also uses assault rifles on my forst PT and don't ahve to first get the AR achievement to be able to choose the AR bonus ability. At least, i am hoping that's somewhat feasible.

Absolutely I will be getting all achievements. It is the reason I will be needing at least three playthroughs to start (Soldier, Engineer, and Adept).
It looks like they loosened the requirements for a bunch of the power usage achievements (use x power 25 times, used to be use x power 75 times). Also, only 5 missions with the squadmates now instead of the majority of the game?
It looks like they loosened the requirements so you would not have to play through each game through more than once to get all the achievements.

I wonder if they will still give stats bonuses like the old ones did? I suspect they will. The power-based ones were used to unlock bonus powers. The squadmate-based ones (and some others) gave some minor stat bonuses, like +10% shields or regen 1 health per second. I doubt those stat bonuses will be removed.

My 1'st run is going to be for trophies. I plan to do all 3 platinums and the extra difficulty+romance trophies in one single playthrough. This is going to be only possible if the squadmate powers count towards the trophies when the squad power is controlled manually. Otherwise some extra work will be required. I think im going to start with vanguard, right now i do practice insanity run in OTME2 with this class and i have only few deaths when i rush directly into group of enemies. Im working on to do every mission deathless, barrier is very helpful power for defensive situations. I think Vanguard is less powerful without claymore and higher level shield upgrades.

Going through the list of achievements, it looks like the weapon talents in Mass Effect 1 no longer have achievements tied to them. So they cannot be unlocked as bonus talents? I guess all classes can now use all weapons, but can no longer add weapon talent bar (assault rifles, shotguns, sniper rifles) they do not currently have as a bonus talent? That certainly changes things. Not sure how I feel about that. Or maybe they were just missing in the official list?
I would have to go back and check but I think a few other (not XP/level-related) achievements are gone from the ME1 list as well.

I would have to go back and check but I think a few other (not XP/level-related) achievements are gone from the ME1 list as well. Okay, I went back and looked. Some of the difficulty and playthrough/XP/level-related achievements have been removed. That is fine and was mostly expected. 1. As I mentioned in my previous post, the weapons-related achievements appear to have been removed from the list provided by sofajockey: - Pistol Expert (150 Pistol Kills) - Shotgun Expert (150 Shotgun Kills) - Assault Rifle Expert (150 Assault Rifle Kills) - Sniper Expert (150 Sniper Rifle Kills) These achievements unlocked the shotgun, assault rifle, and sniper rifle talents for bonus powers, and increased duration of Marksman (Pistol). Curious if these were removed from the game period, or just removed from the list provided. 2. These enemy-related achievements appear to have been removed: - Dog of War (150 organic enemy kills) - Geth Hunter (250 synthetic enemy kills) I don't think any stat bonuses were associated with them, so no big deal on their removal. A lot of enemy-related killing achievements are now tracked across all games in the trilogy for achievements. 3. I do not see these achievements which had bonuses attached to them: - Tactician (Complete playthrough with shield damage greater than health damage) - Rich (Exceed 1,000,000 Credits) I believe Tactician provided a shield stat increase for all Shepards? The Rich achievement unlocked Spectre weapons in all playthroughs, and had an import check in ME2 that increased starting credits.

So that's achievements done on 1 (with an insanity run).
Watch out for the melee achievement 'bruiser' which reports suggest isn't triggering from ME1. Deal with it after an ME2 run (leaving an appropriate save before Archangel's basement) where enemies keep coming unless you close the door.

- Kill 250 enemies in Mass Effect 1, 2 or 3

- Kill 2,000 enemies in Mass Effect 1, 2 or 3

Question: does this or implies that the kill count is unique to each game? Meaning, if I defeat 249 enemies in ME1 and move on to ME2, the progress is reset and I'll now have to kill 250 enemies if I want to obtain the trophy while playing it, right?

Establish a romantic relationship in Mass Effect 1, 2 or 3 I did not get the trophy for that after romancing Samantha. My guess is because I skipped some content related to the romance such as not doing Grissom and not rescuing the Cerberus scientists. Either way, that will be fixed in my current ME3 playthrough.

I never go out of my way to complete achievements. Never been greatly interested in them. If I get some, fine - if not no worries.
A lot of the MEL achievements seem to be ones that you'll get by playing the game normally, which is actually the original point in achievements when they were first conceived by game designers in the early noughties. Gamers being gamers, with their desire for 100% completion in all things saw things very differently - they took a mechanic that was intended as: 'An additional bit of icing on the cake that you get for playing our game' and turned it into: 'Compulsory tasks that MUST be completed at all costs in order to beat the game'.

I will definitely be getting my three platinums for MELE. Anything less would be unacceptable. 😉
The ME1 platinum looks achievable in a single playthrough. I'm not sure how hard I'll chase it. If it feels like it's artificially imposing upon my squad rotation, or whatnot, I might just spread it across two PTs. Then again, trophies are one-and-done, so you only have to make that extra effort once before never worrying about it again.

I really want to do get the Plat for ME:2 & 3, but there's no way I'm replaying ME:1 again to complete quests with other crew members and use all powers. I wonder if using your crew's powers count? If so I might give it another go once I'm done with the entire trilogy again. I just can't start a new game with a new Shep while I'm still in the middle of the story with my current one, talk about immersion breaking.

I've not even left the Citadel yet, and I already have a ton of these trophies. The threshold is now really low, generally 25 uses, so these things are really easy. Between universal, basic gun proficiency and my desire to get all the trophies, I'm playing a Sentinel for the first time in ME1. That's insane, considering the mind-bending number of times I've completed it.

Squadmate tech and biotic powers count towards getting the tech and biotic power achievements. I can confirm. I am playing as a soldier and used Tali, Kaiden, and Liara to get these achievements. Squadmate quest achievements are now do-able in a single playthrough (complete 5 quests with each squadmate). Some of the Citadel quests are good for getting these achievements.

Ah good! Shouldn't be too much of a hassle then. I'm missing Kaiden, Wrex and Tali.

I'm glad you reminded me of this. I remember back in '07 having to drop everything and go to Therum and get Liara ASAP; then bring her back to mop up those Citadel "missions". The lower 5 per ally threshold is much better. I need to get Ashley's 5 out of the way early, so I can put her back on the bench until her dramatic exit.

Finished all Talents and squadmates achievements plus few more while doing that early in game. Now I can start new Adept playtrough with Decription bonus and wreck everything with Liara and Wrex and hack every thingy I find.

Romanced Liara in 1, Jack in 2
Paramour 2 didn’t pop.
My next playthrough I wanted to romance Liara in 1, sleep with her in 2 after LotSB, and romance her in 3. Would that give me Paramour 2/3?
Why did Jack not give it to me?
