Well I finished ME2 yesterday, but I'll upload the last batch of Julia's pictures tomorrow. At least I was able to add Brooks' hair to LE3. Though for some reason LE3 Julia's face looks "off". Possibly Vancouver lighting which makes everyone look terrible... Unfortunately, it's not just the Vancouver lighting. It exists all throughout live play photo mode. My Shep only looks normal in ME3 cut scenes. In ME3 combat, pausing for photo mode she looks like an angry Sim with flat features. I see it also in your picture above - Bioware completely stripped our Sheps of details/shadows/textures etc. I have raised this issue back in May also in the EA forum...but I don't think they will fix it in a future patch .
I had this problem the last time I imported a ME2 Shep into ME3 in MELE. It sucks. Oh well, there's a lot of pretty scenery and combat carnage that is still snappable.

A lot of Miranda focused shots in these ones.
Shepard - "Ladies you don't have to fight over me."
Liara/Miranda - "We're not!"
Shepard - "Oh, well carry on."
Thanks for the assist Thor.

It's probably solvable. It looks like a lower-res model and textures are used during gameplay as opposed to cutscenes, which is common in a lot of games. I'm going to look into this. I'm trying my hand at modding a bit anyway since we can finally alter assets and stuff... My complaint was more that my femshep looked off in the intro cutscenes however, but I can fix this!

It's true though, the very start of ME3 and ME2 actually, custom Sheps look strange - they must use some sort of base model and just force your custom face over it, because it never looks absolutely correct. Same at the start of DAI actually.
My Shep started to look more normal in the cut scenes just after seeing the boy in the tunnel, but when I got to Mars and the helmet came off for combat inside, my Shep looked like an angry Sim (see second pic) - the eyebrows were constantly arched and a slightly open mouth with teeth showing LOL. This look seems to be permanent while in combat. I would be interested to see if you have this problem too.

Cut scene with Anderson (Shep looking normal)
Angry sim mode The other thing which doesn't really help is how femshep walks like a construction worker with a bit of a hunchback in the prologue cutscenes. I know it's because of Bioware not using a female mocap-model for most of the femshep-scenes, but it extremely noticeable and off-putting in the ME3-prologue. But I guess fixing certain camera-angles was more important than that, or for being able to holster guns in LE3... Nevertheless, modding is now ON!

I'm trying my hand at modding a bit anyway since we can finally alter assets and stuff... If you're able to fix this, I'll start a religion worshipping you Although whenever modders manage to fix things like this, I think about how much easier it probably would have been for Bioware to fix themselves and I wonder why the hell they don't. I think we discussed this when I noticed my Shepard having that problem in ME2, and I can confirm I have the same problem still in ME3. Her textures are fine when we're just wandering around outside of combat (which you can see a few posts above this one in the black and white photos of her), but photographing her face in combat is just not worth it because of the Sims-like appearance. Hell, calling it that is an insult to the Sims At least I can download better textures for them. I know it's because of Bioware not using a female mocap-model for most of the femshep-scenes, but it extremely noticeable and off-putting in the ME3-prologue. Very true. Femshep isn't as bad as the female Inquisitor, but she still looks odd in the prologue.

Femshep isn't as bad as the female Inquisitor, but she still looks odd in the prologue. Ya I don't know why Bioware always chose to have a character grimacing in pain at the start (DAI and ME2) and use a male base model for the female face - it always looked off in the starting scenes. And the walk - don't get me started on the construction worker gait LOL it's been a pet peeve for a decade now!
I don't even create glamour puss looking femsheps, mine are rather ordinary-looking and the ME2 to ME3 import doesn't work in MELE - I had to adjust things to get the eyes looking sort of similar to the eyes she had in ME1 and ME2.
Unfortunately, I think that Bioware and the companies they hired to do complete the Legendary Edition focused entirely on ME1 and 2, and totally left 3 much like it was. Except now with photo mode, the ME3 combat look of Shepard is so obvious and so cheap. Meanwhile, our squad mates look normal in combat.
I don't use mods, at least in ME games but would be willing to and very grateful if someone comes up with a fix for this problem.

This was so fun I just had to take a picture of it. One of the rare instances in my time with ME that I have been able to achieve a good ole proper ambush. The drone was just set up perfectly to where me and it could just blast everything that came out of it as well as me providing support. As you can see by the corpse there we were quite successful.

I guess it makes sense in the OT when the only time in combat that you'd see Shepard's face is when they're in cover. But when BW introduced photo mode, they should have realized people would be able to turn the camera around and see Shepard's angry little face at any time, and fixed the textures.

Last bunch of ME2 before ME3 (some better ones in those) I got bored towards the end and just focused mainly on Miranda.

Well I tried retweaking my Sim's Shepard's face and gave her "the Karen" treatment. It feels like she's already wearing a helmet when she removes her helmet
It's funny how fortification now selectively covers the arms but not the neck and the face. And check out the grubby fingernails!
But anyway, onto Mars, great scenery! Clearly BW spared no expense with that element of ME3.

It's a shame that EA/BW and their sidekicks did not see this problem before releasing MELE.

Unfortunately, I didn't notice a difference either. I thought maybe I'd changed something incorrectly because while I was able to change MaxAnisotropy to 16 (mine also defaulted to 8), I had to add in the other three to the file myself and maybe I did that wrong somehow. Thanks anyway for trying, though
