I wonder can Shepard also uses all weapon types in ME 2 or is it still limited? I assume the latter but its strange that ME 2 would the only game in the series where the player can´t with every weapontype they like.

Nope, still limited as far as I can tell. Still haven’t boarded the honeycomb yet. I am assuming that the additional weapon type isn't available for non soldiers until they hit the collector shop just like the original then?

You could always use all weapons in ME1 but using weapons that your class wasn't trained specifically to use had an aiming/zoom penalty. They removed those penalties.

I assume that activating the Reaper IFF is still not an optional choice?

I was wondering if they would take the ME3 approach in ME2 where you were limited to weapon slots by class but you could choose your load out within those limitations. Guess they figured they were better off not messing with ME2's system too much.
