Guardians -> as above Nemesis -> apply the same melee -> Hammertime! I usually resort to a Warlord gold solo vs. geth on Glacier.  Does good for the bomber points too. A talon mercenary can be an option too, his arrow attacks are melee, have not tried as it is a pain with the controls. Unfortunately Shadow Strike does not register for melee challenge points. But a melee Brawler is fun too. Talon Merc arrows don't count toward melee challenges. Zaeed Talon Merc doesn't count at all. Worst enemy... The giant-hover crab or Morith in ME3 |

I'm actually going to go with the Geth for this one.
You're probably thinking, "Woah Robo, how can you turn on your own people!" And I'm going to have to stop you right there. What you don't realize is, those Geth are clearly heretics. They worship false gods, and that's just something I can't get behind.
Alright, back to why the heretic Geth are the nazis of Mass Effect. Stagger. Fucking Stagger. Geth Drones. Basic enemy. Fires a seeking incineration blast that guarantees a stun on what it hits. Hunters. Fuck even trying if a group of those gang up on you. Pyros. Silent assholes. You're dead before you know there's one behind you. Rocket troopers, fucking rocket fucking troopers FUCK. In the words of QMR, rocket troopers are turbo aids, their rockets are cancer, and they can rot in toaster hell.

The longest enemy challenges for me are:
Reapers: Husks
Cerberus: Assault Trooper
Geth: Geth Trooper
Collectors: Scions (usually finished last)
