Anyone know if it's still possible to remove ME2 and ME3 DLC folders, so that the DLCs in question don't activate right away, without breaking the game like it was for the original ME2 and ME3? For example, all the ME2 DLC seems to live in a folder at Origin Games > Mass Effect Legendary Edition > Game > ME2 > BioGame > DLC. I don't particularly like Arrival, and on the playthroughs where I have done it, I prefer to have it activate after the main quest is over rather than right after Horizon. I'm pretty sure the folder titled DLC_Exp_Part02 is Arrival - so can I just put that folder somewhere else on my hard drive and leave it there until if and when I decide I want it to activate?
(I mean, obviously it is physically possible to do this - what I'm getting at is whether it will create some other sort of bug.)
I also don't want to play ME2 with Genesis installed - IIRC, it screws around with the opening dialogue between TIM and Miranda, and I also don't feel like rehashing my ME1 choices if I'm already importing a saved character (as I plan to do). Does the MELE come with Genesis automatically installed, and if it does, what is the name of the DLC folder? Is it the one titled DLC_DHME1?

For the record, I tried this with Genesis and Arrival removed last night, and what happened was...odd. The opening scene of ME2 started up without TIM or Miranda commenting on the fate of the Council like they do in the original game (i.e. it seemed to be the altered dialogue from Genesis), but without any background music. It then shifted to the opening scene on the Normandy, also without any background music. At that point I force-quit the game. I'll try putting Genesis back and see if anything changes - still hoping I can skip Arrival. I assume it'll give me the option to just import my choices from ME1 rather than going through the Genesis comic?

Can't speak to moving Arrival or other DLC folders, but the Genesis comic is completely skippable …
I imported my ME1 game save, skipped the comic and everything worked just fine for ME2, no need to move the folder.
For my import into ME3, I didn't even get the comic option …
A guess, skipping the comic when importing to ME2 may have made the game assume I didn't want to use it in ME3.

Yeah same here imported to ME2 just fine I jus tclicked no for doing the comic as I didn' t need or want to use it. I could see myself using the comics if I wanted to do a nwe game plus with a different world state or just didn' t feel like playing the other games. But generally when I'm in the mood for playing one of them I'll likely just pla ythe whole trilogy as I often find myself in the mood for playing all 3. I've not played ME3 yet on the LE so personally can't comment on that. Also I can't really speak for it either as I don' t really mess around with folders in games beyond installing the occasional mod as too much of that can really ruin how the game works forcing you to have to reinstall it. TBH that's just too much of a headache for me I'd rather just focus on enjoying a game as it is rather than do that though that's my personal prefereence.

You are on PC I assume, since you are talking about folders?
Download ME3Tweaks Mod Manager. You can use the 'Manage Target' button (after selecting ME2 from the dropdown bar), and you should be able to deactivate DLCs there.
This was how I do it with OT, but I believe Mgamerz is adding LE functionality so if it doesn't work now, it probably will soon.
