I'm having a bit of an issue with my squad on Feros. I normally save all the colonists by punching them and keeping the squad in places where they can't fire on the colonists helps... but in MELE they are refusing to stay where I tell each of them to go. Instead, the moment a colonist fires at Shepard as he's running to them to punch them, they rush in an, a few times, have actually killed a colonist. They have been told to not fire on the colonists and that's what the gas grenades are for (even though Shepard is using his fists instead of the grenades). I know I could easily complete the level using the grenades, but I've always done it by punching instead and I think it still should be possible.
One funny moment though... on one attempt we made it to the last group of colonists without a death... and then Shepard one punched the one nearest Ledra's ship and that colonist died. Shepard immediately utters "Oh Sh*t." I've never heard that line from him before and I nearly died laughing. Well, onto try No. 5... No. 6 (Dang it, Tali... Stop shooting the colonists!)

Interesting, I'm playing a renegade playthrough and I explicitly told my squad to kill the colonists. Even then, I noticed they didn't actually shoot the colonists unless I ordered them to through squad commands. They only targeted the creepers by default. Maybe a bug?

What platform are you playing on?
Also, I'm encountering bugs with varying amounts of health different colonists will have on different attempts. For example, on one run, I knocked out Arcelia with one punch, but on the next, I hit her with 5 punches and didn't bring down her health at all (and she had not used her immunity). I've also had a similar situation with Davin. On one run, I knocked out both colonists at that post with one punch, on the next, it took 6 punches to knock out Davin alone. As I said, on the one run, hitting the colonist next to Ledra's ship (Hana?) killed her, on another I put 5 punches on her before Tali broke ranks and shot her. At this point, I think I'm giving up and going to just use the grenades. Too bad... I really like not using them and saving all the colonists (I'm still not going to accept any of them dying though... I need the paragon points.)
ETA: ... and oh, to top it all off, on my last attempt, I just had Greta die when I punched Ledra. I wasn't anywhere near her and I don't think my squad shot her either... she just died.

I'm on the PS4.
Hmm, I haven't encountered that many glitches in my game. The most apparent was the squad not shooting the colonists and occasionally having Shepard stuck in the middle of combat. It sounds like a glitch in gameplay.

I'm on the PS4. Hmm, I haven't encountered that many glitches in my game. The most apparent was the squad not shooting the colonists and occasionally having Shepard stuck in the middle of combat. It sounds like a glitch in gameplay. I have had some issues with punching out Arcelia in the old ME1 on both the Xbox 360 and on the Xbox One, but nothing near this widespread. So that's probably an old bug just made a little worse by something in the remaster. In the old ME1, my squad always stayed where I told them to go... so that's completely new and probably a bug related to the new ability to tell each squaddie where to go separately. I don't have a Twitter account, so I'll have to figure out how to send them a bug report... it can wait until morning though. I need to give up on it for tonight and get some sleep. Thanks for your input.

Well, I couldn't sleep, so I've been trying again to get through with all colonists alive on Feros by punching them (melee). I finally managed it, but I had to use 2 grenades on the last group to avoid my squad breaking ranks (i.e. moving out of the cover I had put them in where Ledra and Greta had been standing... and then shooting my last colonists after the last creepers had already been killed). I never had this trouble with the squad mates breaking a hold position in the OT. This issue has made saving all the colonists much more frustrating and difficult than before. It's a buggy mess (at least on the Xbox One).

It has some bugs yes... especially how Uncharted Worlds and Feros music sound like coming through a bitcrusher on PS5! God why!

I had no issues on PC. Saved everyone and the only orders I gave my squadmates was to target the creepers. But I used the grenades with Anti Thorium gas to knock out the colonists.

On PC - I punched out 80% of the colonists, and used the gas on the rest because one or two of them didn't go down when punched, and just ended up standing there motionless, but firing. Using the gas fixed it. It took me two attempts, as the first time it happened I ended up punching one of the 'frozen' ones to death.
I can't recall the squad shooting any of the colonists though.
I had a worse time of it on Chohe doing the mission Besieged Base (the one where you fight the Biotics but keep civilians alive). Tali and Liara were completely gung-ho, firing blindly, and civilians died due to friendly fire from the squad. Ended up reverting to early game tactics of baiting the Biotics into the first room (the one that contains no civilians) with squad on hold. This never used to happen in the vanilla game.

Interesting... my squad mates on this were Tali and Liara. I wonder if it's something about them being together?
I love to test out mysteries, so I'm going to keep the save before starting Feros and get back to testing it out with other squad mates later.
ETA: I think I'll just take a break from this game today... things are not going my way and I'm not feeling well.
