I've seen patch notes for 1.02 and 1.03 online with the implication that they're ready to download for consoles, but my game version is 1.0.1 something and it's not showing that any updates are available even when I check for it. Does anyone know how to forcibly scan for updates, or is it just not yet available for Xbox 1/SX?

From the home page and while highlighting MELE, click on the button just to the right of the X (has 3 lines on it) and select "Manage game and add-ons" from the menu. On the next screen, you'll see a block called updates. You can click on that and eventually it will tell you if there are any updates available for that game.
Microsoft controls when updates are released in different parts of the world. Right now, I'm showing no updates available for MELE and I'm at Version 1.0.162.1068.
