Why are you here?

I don’t play much anymore but I still love this game. It is by far one of the best games I’ve ever played but that’s mainly because I just fell in love with the Mass Effect universe. The lore, characters, races, etc was just so awesome and interesting to me. After 9 years of playing off and on though it does start to wear on you and it might be time to try something new. When the pandemic hit and I was laid off from work, I found that ME3MP wasn’t gonna cut it for me so I purchased elder scrolls online almost a year ago and I’ve been addicted to that since. It’s my new drug! But I after playing eso and being introduced to emotes, it made me start thinking how fun it would be if ME3MP had emotes. Make your volus blow kisses at teammates or dancing krogan or an asari puking her guts out on a phantom’s corpse.

I wish ME3MP had emotes is what I am trying to say 😋

I haven't played M3MP in a while and spent most of my gaming time of the last 2 years with Anthem. But I still like coming back here. I also still like the game and I'm actually hoping we'll get it added to MELE at some point (which would convince me to buy it). And I like the people in this subforum. It's this nice mixture of serious discussions about the game combined with trolling and shitposting - but unlike at other places it works out just fine here. Most of the time. Also: once you leave the sacred zone of what is the ME3MP subforum and start taking a look at some of the other forums here you'll appreciate this subsection and the community even more.

Why am I still here in this forum?

Well a bit of forewarning I'm gonna be a lot sappy or less sappy with my answer I don't really know, but I'm gonna roll with it.

I like it here for the nostalgia and sometimes I lurk in to see what people are chatting about. I like it here because this is pretty much the only community I feel most connected to, out of any other that I've been in period. Love it for the memories and all the kinds of players I was fortunate to have to play with through even the old iterations of the BSN forum either retired or not retired from playing ME3MP.

Besides the whole journey of completing your manifest, and the fun predictions of balance changes or future DLC. Playing this game for as long as I did since I was 14 a shy loner with no friends, was also eye opening for me, to learn about myself attitude wise and whatever else that comes with growing up into adulthood.

I'll admit for as long as I've played this game, I would be so full of myself at times that it must've been annoying for others, being unhinged was also a problem for me in past forum posts, that I look back at and looks hella cringe. Sure I could easily kick a good majority of player's asses who are in their 20s or older in the scoreboard back in my young days. But I imagine they're at least got their shit together and live a more exciting social life than mine at least lol

I'm gonna say for all those nostalgia feels.

I rejoined from prime because I missed talking to people with similar interests as a grand total of 0 of my friends are remotely into anything gaming related. Even though 90% of the time it's more shit talking than anything else.

BSN has changed since I remember, but then again, so have I.

But there's still quality people here, and I appreciate you all, even if we have vastly different tastes, perspectives, and personalities.

Joking aside...

Why am I still here? Probably because of my temperament.
