Was trying to remember if there was a way or mod that let you select weapons in ME2 with F keys like you could in ME1?
Seems to take so fecking long to switch from your pistol to your AR

Did you check the controls? It should be in the options menu somewhere if it is available. Pretty sure there is a way to do it. I am on PC but using a controller so I can bring up the weapon wheel. There should be a way to do it with the keyboard.

Since console has a quick swap button, I would've expected the same for PC.
A quick search revealed this same gripe from PC gamers in 2010. Unless LE has added quick swap to ME2 on PC, you're stuck using the wheel.
I'm not sure how helpful this post is, but I checked on your behalf and came up empty. Maybe a PC player will turn up with better news.

It's not an option by default, and I'm not currently aware of mods that would let you bind weapons to F keys.
The closest you can get, on classes with fewer weapons, there is the quick swap that lets you change between the active and last used weapon (IIRC, default X) and on Infiltrator/Vanguard, if you remember the order, mousewheel lets you change to any weapon since your active is always adjacent to the other two you have. Soldiers are out of luck and have to use the pause.

Yeah, looks like I will have to get used to the wheel, slightly annoying as I just spent 30 hours using the F keys in ME1 and was hoping for a mod or INI tweak...ah well, first world problems eh?

Yeah its not something I'm looking forward on PC... but maybe during the next year we'll get some MODS which remove/add stuff.

Seems to take so fecking long to switch from your pistol to your AR You can only quickly switch between your two favorite / most used weapons by holding down the button. In the round you select your two favorite weapons in a row, this is important and then you can switch weapons between two weapons at any time. This is very useful in a situation e.g. than when the situation starts to get hotter during a fight or e.g. nowhere near a Thermal clip.
