That said, I wouldn't mind it if they cut down on the number of advisors. I can't prove this, mind, but I can't help but feel that if they didn't have to distribute content to all of the advisors, they would have spent more time on making content for the actual companions. Take Vivienne as an example. I think a lot of us feel like she should have had more content in regards to Orlesian politics. Especially at the Winter Palace. Yeah I feel like a First Enchanter, de facto head of the Loyalists and direct advisor to the Empress would've made a better adviser on both Orlesian politics, the Mage situation, hell a lot of things in general, rather than....uhhh some drug addled templar goon, some religious nut, and a lower level diplomat. Josephine's role I felt was mostly justified but the other two.....eh? Especially if you played a vengeful city elf that decapitated Leliana in DA:O

As much as I love DAI's companions, running around Skyhold to speak to each of them felt like a chore. I hope DA4 will bring the team back to DA2's size, with about 6-8 companions only.

Not questioning your opinion, but would it have been different if the Companions had been spread over a much smaller area like the Camp in DA:O or The Hanged Man in DA2? Or if you would have gotten some sort of cue when a Companion had significant dialogue like the quests of the form 'Talk to ...' and quest arrows in DA2? Just curious. Thanks for your time.

You could always have that many but just in a smaller space, like the Mass Effect games. Personally I loved our big base, and just wished we could have done more with it.

I just wish they finished repairing it. There's a hole in the side of the wall leading straight to the war room, Iron Bull's shag room has several holes in the ceiling, and Cullen's personal bedroom seems little better. Take a walk to all of the wall towers and all but two (Cullen's office and the upgrade tower) seem to be completely trashed and unusable. The downstairs library never gets dusted and even the prison seems incomplete, with several portions of the wall and ceiling being nowhere to be found. Other than providing a convenient working hazard for anyone patrolling the area it also doubles as a convenient escape route for convicts. I don't expect them to last long in the frozen tundra on a massive cliff face, but still... In terms of repair and refurbishment, it always felt like we we never left the initial stages of moving in.

Stuff like this makes the world feel more alive.

Stuff like this makes the world feel more alive. I thought originally it would be a chore, but at least inside Tempest they dont move so much and the area is not that big, compared to lets say, Skyhold. Personally I would like this a lot, especially going into some room, opening door and hearing them being in middle of conversion. Kinda the same like in DAI with Cassandra or in lesser fashion ME2 'catfight'.

Yeah. Felt that way about the Normandy in ME3. I agree about Skyhold, especially since DAI takes place over the span of like one or two years, and there's always talk about a possible attack. In my first PT, I actually expected some grand (and potentially buggy) battle with Corypheus attacking Skyhold, like DAO did with Denerim and Awakening with Vigil's Keep. For the Normandy however, I'd actually kinda llike the cable optics, also given that the timespan is far shorter and the ship left Earth in a hurry without the refit being complete (wasn't that also the reason for Traynor being there as well?), though I guess they could have slowly updated the interior after several Citadel visits, so the refit would be complete and cables hidden after a few story missions post-Mars.

DAI only takes place over one year (until the two year timeskip in Trespasser) and months of that are in Haven according to some conversations. So our time in Skyhold is about the same as our time in the Normandy. And yeah, I didn’t mind it being that way at first since it was still being retrofitted, but after a while maybe clean it up.
