I recently completed my first playthrough of Mass Effect 1, as a sentinel. I proceeded to import my character into Mass Effect 2, but noticed I had the option to choose Flashbang Grenade as a bonus power. I haven’t played through Mass Effect 2 yet. Is there a workaround or upcoming patch to fix this? I don’t want a bonus power on my first/original playthrough.

Did you do ever Kasumi's loyalty during a non-legendary edition playthrough? Those old saves are compatible with the LE so that may be the issue.

Did you do ever Kasumi's loyalty during a non-legendary edition playthrough? Those old saves are compatible with the LE so that may be the issue. I have several old game save files on my Xbox One and I have LE also installed on the same Xbox One. As far as I can tell, the file saves are not compatible on that platform at least.
I imported my ME1(LE) soldier into ME2 and was never offered any bonus power. I also started a non-imported Sentinel and skpped the comic... no bonus power was offered there either. I haven't yet completed any loyalty missions and there is no "training" option showing up on the terminal in Mordin's lab yet.
Other people have reported significant bugs with the bonus powers in ME2(LE). No word on any patches yet.

That's a bug. I had flashbang grenade available as well. Also, advanced training unlocked for me after Jacob's loyalty mission. It was the first one I did after Horizon, I had completed Zaeed's earlier.

I tried to create a brand new character without importing one from ME:1, but Flashbang Grenade still shows as a bonus bower. I really hope this is addressed.
Is there any issues with Advanced Training and unlocking the bonus powers? I’ve seen complaints on other forums, and I’m hoping (maybe) I can switch the power out for Warp Ammo (playing Sentinel).
I’m playing on a PS5.
