I get to the end of the first level where you get a overlaying saying "Press and hold {key bound to mining} to end the mission," but this key doesn't do anything. So I can't advance to the next level. Anyone else had this problem?

Not that specific problem (but I'm on a Xbox). My first run at Firewalker, though, the boost on the Hammerhead wasn't working at all. I quit the game and reloaded and then restarted that mission and it solved the issue. I'm finding that I've encountered a few places where different buttons on the control don't work. So far, reload has fixed it, except for my photo mode... the D-Pad just isn't working at all when I'm in photo mode. Other people have had success by stopping the camera from drifting a little... but that hasn't worked for me... yet. I've also had a issue with the game not pausing when the controller has lost connection (due to a low battery). Not sure what's going on. Sensitivity issue?

Nope I did have bugs in my LE playthrough bu tnothin gtha twas seriously gamebreaking in rfac tmin ewere probably more amusing than gamebreaking like fo rexample during ME3 I ha dm yfish swimmin gall over the room rather than staying in their tank.

I'm on a PC. Restarting the game does not help in this case. I've tried a number of different key bindings (including the default). This also does not help. It's a real head scratcher. Odd that no one else has seen this. Obviously something specific to my PC.

If you happen to have a controller handy, try plugging it in and then try to use it to quit the mission. If that works, then go back to using keyboard and mouse.
That's all I got, sorry. (I am playing MELE on PC, but using a controller with no issues.)

Finally figured it out. The splashscreen instructions erroneously tell you hit the melee key (whatever you remapped it to), but the correct key is the “return to Normandy” key. I now vaguely remember having this same issue 10 years ago!
