Ok, the humans/Alliance ones are distrustful, yet all the non-humans are thrilled. Wrex is goddamn ECSTATIC. Probably the happiest I've seen a krogan in all 3 games. I always found that interesting.

Wrex assumed that Shepard never died because humans have the same redundant organs as krogan. It probably also helps that the subject of Cerberus never comes up with Wrex.

"Oh, well that probably hurt..." Wrex probably agrees in principle with some of Cerberus' less idiotic doings. He was enthusiastically supportive of Terra Firma's platform when taken along for the Sarecino conversation. He was less impressed with crazy experiments gone awry. I can't imagine Cerberus concerns him too much in either way. In my experience, it's only Kaidan or Ashley (especially Ashley) who is written as particularly distrustful. Everyone else seems pleased to accept Shep's unlikely return.

Wrex assumed that Shepard never died because humans have the same redundant organs as krogan. It probably also helps that the subject of Cerberus never comes up with Wrex. Every time I meet Wrex on Tuchanka and hear "Ah, the benefits of a redundant system", I feel like he's trolling my Shepard. His tone is too playful when he says that line. I mean, having lived for so long and being a Battlemaster, he probably knows humans don't have backup organs like Krogans do. Or maybe that's his way to show he's happy to see Shepard again.

Wrex's (ME2) reaction is the warmest and friendliest to Shepard - cringe if you must, but it almost brings a tear to my eye every time he greets me in that scene in Tuchanka. Ofc, I never kill him in Virmire, because it's very easy to talk him down.
In ME3, his appreciation for curing the genophage is much more heartfelt than any thanks you get from for instance, the Quarians for helping them. Later on in the Citadel DLC, if you take him as a squad member, he is so freakin' awesome and funny. I love Wrex!

Why would the Human Alliance be thrilled that Shepard has "been revived" by Cerberus? In my opinion it makes perfect sense for them to be suspicious. On the other hand, Tail being more than willing to work with them seems more than a little strange considering what Cerberus did to the Flotila.

While I do get this, Tali willing to work with Shep is her trusting who Shepard is as a person. Same goes for Garrus. A/K is just, as Garrus put it, letting emotions blind them and not trusting who Shepard is.
But I do understand this point and it is a valid point. As a side note, I'm not happy we can't ever just simply say, "Yes, they brought me back, but there's no way in hell I'm 'working for/with' them!" Because yes, while the Alliance isn't doing anything about it (which, is a bit odd), I would have liked to have a way to show that Shepard was not in any way part of Cerberus.

That has always bothered me a little too. Especially since I prefer Sole survivor Military background. It's a bit jarring to suddenly be ok with working for a group who set Thresher Maws on you.

It was kind of shame that wrex is the most emotional at meeting shepard, his scene is great but he should not be alone doing this. Liara is extremly cold even if she is the one who brought shepard's body to cerberus and just the saw the person she loved being back from the dead after 2 years... but for some reason she just remains distant. And the virmire survivor is super angry no matter what you do or say. I guess They get a hugging scene if Shepard had an history with them, ... Tali and garrus gets okayish reunion (far from being as good as wrex) but it's already more forgivable because we get content with them afterwards in ME 2. We did get cutscenes with liara but that was after people demanded more and we got the shadow broker dlc, and the virmire survivor... Well I hope you like the email they send you after Horizon because you are not getting anything with them before mass effect 3...
