Please provide a screenshot when possible, as it is difficult to work off of written description; a visual will be easier for us to tackle the issue.
As far as mobile issues go, there are limitations in that ProBoards does not provide a template for modifiying the mobile version of the site.

It happens when members have their online status set to “Invisible”, which a number of our forum do.

It sometimes happens in other, random cases though. This forum runs on happy thoughts and is held together by copper wire and electrical tape.
