First of all, sorry if there exists a similar thread. Please just link me to it, haven't found anything yet.
I haven't touched Mass Effect since around 5? years. (Andromeda)
But now this release makes me wonder if I shall buy it or simply reinstall my originals.
Is there any other reason beside sponsoring Bioware?

A few things … the graphics and gameplay in ME1 are much improved.
Except for ME1's Pinnacle Station, all the OT DLC is included, so the purchase is a one and done.
ETA: Photo mode … for some folks, that is a huge plus.
Reasons to not buy it … ME2 and ME3 are not much different, no ME3MP, limited (PC) mods available at this point.
If you have not purchased it yet, it's probably not critical to you … wait a bit longer for the price to drop.
Those are the big ones as far as I can tell.

To get three more platinum trophies added to the many other platinum trophies I've collected. excellent. Plus it's good to see Shepard destroy the reapers on my ps4. excellent

I agree pretty much with @grinch. The main improvements are in ME1 IMO.
Especially if you have the OT on PC (where you can use mods), ME2/3 don't feel that different (except for some minor things like some extra reflections and the like). ME1 does have some major changes, not only in graphics but also in gameplay, most of which are for the better IMO.

The main changes are really the improved graphics and no more need t oplay around with the Galactic readiness anymore because it's all handled in game now. Which tbh was the main reason ehy I caved in and got it. I wil l say though that I do like the upgraded CC as well which was a pleasant surprise But outside of that as has been mentioned ther isn't really anything big. It's more an upgrade to suit more modern machines rather than a complete overhaul

Be aware that the term "remaster" has been used loosely, and that you will actually lose some graphical fidelity and the mood lighting so that you can see an over-exposed shot too often. Nuances in animation have been cut from ME1 and ME2, and some ancillary characters have not been given the love they deserved.
I wouldn't buy it myself, I have all the DLCs and mods are better than LE.

Yeah I might have avoided getting it if I had better luck with mods but then whilst I do gam eon PC I've had a bi tof a hi tand mis situation when it comes to mods and getting them to work in games som egames I can mod wel enough other games have been a bit of a miss I can' t seem to get anything to work right. Unfortunately the ME trilogy has always been a bit of a miss. I have managed t omod MEA but I mainly don't mod it due to the fact tha tI'v enot found any mods I particularly like s ophtat has pretty much remained in it's vanilla state. I do mod the Dragon Age games though as I've been relatively successful there and I have modded 1 or 2 of the F1 games from time to time as well.

ME1LE is worth the purchase alone. Just so much better to play and look at. I enjoy the fact that everything across the games looks amazing. So not loading all the graphic mods every time I want to play is a good thing. Even if there are a few mods that still look better but I can live without those.

It depends, in most respects for most platforms it's a straight upgrade, if you want the "original vision" though the only place to play's the Xbox 360 as every other platform's version's compromised in some way.

The new CC has Shepard looking pretty consistent through all three games. Some eye shapes seem to change from ME2 to ME3, though most of those changes are too subtle for me to have noticed without them being pointed out. Compared to how different Shep looked between the original games, there's no contest. ME2 has some weird lighting issues on PC. I'm not sure if consoles are affected and it seems like not everyone is bothered by it even if they notice it. But I play darker skinned Shepards, and in ME2 there is next to no contrast in shadow areas, so it becomes difficult to see Shepard's features unless the light hits them in just the right way. There's no word on whether Bioware intends to fix this (or has even noticed the bug reports ), but there is a workaround for now.

It depends, in most respects for most platforms it's a straight upgrade, if you want the "original vision" though the only place to play's the Xbox 360 as every other platform's version's compromised in some way. I'm interested in what you're referring to as being "compromised" with the old games on the Xbox One. All the Xbox 360 discs are completely backwards compatible now and have been for some time. Comparatively, I would also now say that the old games perform better on my Xbox One than MELE does (i.e. fewer bugs and absolutely no crashes). MELE has crashed totally several times on my Xbox One and some bugs are occurring with annoying regularity. For example, ragdolled enemies failing to get up again such that I have to continually go looking for them in order to get missions to complete.. with some of them even sinking into the terrain, dialogue cutting out prematurely, and even squad commands for one or the other squad mate disconnecting mid-mission such that I can no longer tell that squad mate to fire a power or move to a specific location. Sure, an exit and reload corrects this... but that means restarting the mission or restarting from a previous save.
Enemy spawns are now erratic at best... some battles feel like only 1/2 the enemies that should spawn do and sometimes one gets overwhelming numbers of spawns in rapid succession (e.g. waves that spawned in the old games can now either not spawn at all or spawn overlapping each other).
OP - If you're on the Xbox, I see no reason to encourage you to buy MELE unless something like a Photo Mode and graphical window dressing really appeals to you. You will also sacrifice some "perks" to which you might have become accustomed: 1) DLC weapons and armors are no longer given to you at the start of ME2 and ME3. You must purchase them (or in the case of ME2 research some) when you can both get to the shop that sells them (e.g. some are at Illium in ME2) and, of course, when you can afford them (e.g. the Valiant in ME3 now costs 250,000 credits). 2) Stasis is no longer available as a bonus power for Shepard. 3) There is also no access to ME3 multiplayer from MELE 4) There is no way to boost your endgame war assets if you desire either by using Multiplayer or by accessing the Galaxy at War website. ME3 endings are now based on Total Military Strength only (e.g. you now require around 7,500 TMS to get the "breath" ending).

I don't mean to say that the backwards compatibility's compromised in any way apologies, either on Xbox One or the Series X.
Just that the original release's compromised on other platforms including the PC, and for said platforms the Legendary Edition's got more positives that negatives, over the original release.
The only completely intact versions of all three entries exists on the Xbox platform, the PC version of Mass Effect's infamously shoddy and the controller support's simply awful, additionally the PlayStation versions of Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3 unfortunately have missing assets.
So if you plan to play it on PC or PlayStation I recommend the Legendary Edition, if you plan to play it on Xbox an argument can be made for either version.

the PC version of Mass Effect's infamously shoddy It is? I played the originals on PC as recently as summer 2020, and I genuinely don't know what you're talking about. If controller support is the only shoddy thing, then it's certainly worth mentioning, but not everyone plays with a controller. I mean, I think circular frogger in ME1 is pretty shoddy, but that sadly still exists in Legendary (as does a mod to eliminate it entirely).

ME2 has some weird lighting issues on PC ME3 had the worst shadow issues in the original version. It hadn't always been true but something changed and it wasn't my PC. Is this still true? Edit: By shadows I mean the face was so dark I could barely see it. Especially first time I met that kid going into the duct on Earth.

I bought for 2 reasons 1. I didnt have all the DLC's for ME1 and ME3 2. I moved from playing on console to playing on PC, the visual upgrades (playing on 1440p or 4k monitor at 240hz or 60hz respectively). Im pretty sure the original games on the 360 were capped at 30fps and I dont have the more modern consoles so I dont know how the PS5 or Xbox series x would perform but its a much smoother feeling playing with a keryboard and mouse if im honest, especially at a higher resolution and much higher frame rate.

In the meantime I bought it and played already quite much, (Feros done). I think, they also changed the Paragon/Renegade formulas. Is is now possible to play "renegade" without beeing evil. Exploring with Mako on the planets specially thresher maw is really cool now. I think it was worth just for ME1 already.
