Just started MELE specifically Mass Effect 3 and i'm getting destroyed on Insanity, the reason being that my health and shields arent regening at all (I know you have health segments in the 3rd game but partially damaging a segment of health then not getting hit should result in it recovering after a few seconds but that not happening). It turns out that this is something related to playing on a high FPS monitor.
I finished ME1 and ME2 without any issues using my high-refresh monitor but for 3 its a big problem. Anyone have a workaround for this? I do have a secondary monitor which is 60FPS and I can confirm the issues disappears when I play on that monitor, the trouble is my eyes have gotten used to playing at higher frames so 60 feels a quite choppy by comparison.
Anyone know if there is a workaround/fix for this?

Anyone know if there is a workaround/fix for this? Is this only an issue on insanity? I switched to insanity part of the way through the game and didn't noticed this bug. My monitor is 144 Hz. Although actually...I got 144 fps using my native resolution, but I played most of ME3LE with the game set at 4K (with resolution scaling enabled) and got only about 72 fps most of the time. Maybe that prevented the bug from occurring for me.

This was a known bug in the original ME3, looks like the devs got lazy and didn't fix it. I played around with it a bit, it works fine up to 120FPS anything above that (144 and up causes the shields not to regenerate) It seems some of the actual in-game difficulty is tied to the framerate (enemy response time and accuracy etc) very strange decision..

Isn't there a way to limit the frames? Some config file maybe?

Not surprising.
I hate playing on hosts that have the game at 120fps. Add a little lag, instant rage quit. Glad it's fun for them :/
On SP, yeah still not surprised. It is Legendary.

Yeah you can turn v-sync off and choose either 60, 120, 144 or 240HZ 120 should fix it then, no? Yes up to 120 it works so I have left it at that frame rate. However I would ideally like to play at 240hz as I still notice it being quite choppy by comparison. I've been spoilt by the other 2 games running without issues at 240hz 🙂
