The Burger King looks like a devil, demonic in every way.
Ronald McDonald.....clown....scary clown need I say more? Not to mention that he hangs around with Grimace a large purple blob.
Mr Peanut, a ghastly half British 'tut tut old bean' half peanut monstrosity.
The Michelin man, someone out of ghost busters. A monster made out of used tires. More stay puff marshmallow man than mascot.
Pillsbury Dough Boy, obviously wants to murder you in your sleep for poking his belly.
Colonel Sanders, don't tell me that if this dude walked up to you and said "Let me show you my chicken!" dressed in that white suit that you would not run screaming.

Definitely McDonald. I've always disliked clowns. Even as a kid I had a problem with stupid people. And clowns' behavior is an act based on the notion that things which are so stupid that even children think it's stupid, should be perceived as "funny". I never laughed, no matter how all the other children shrieked with laughter and screamed excited suggestions to the clowns. I was also disturbed by that it was always the most stupid clown that was the 'hero' and final 'victor'. I also didn't like the sadistic bullying that was the core of their act.
And then clown masks are disguises. Why would anyone not be deeply distrusting of a man in disguise?
As a kid I was also disturbed by Mr Peanut. Somehow it seems suggestive of some cannibal fetish.

...but I imagine there are some pretty fucked up japanese mascots that could top that. Can't think of any off the top of my head though.

... I guess I won..? Actually I found worse -even if a little decade dated: The Noid? Nah. The mascot may have a bad history because some guy shared it's name, but it wasn't scary, just unlucky. The California Raisins were worse...so was the old Hamburgerlar.
