I recently got into modding DA2. I started with model swapping through console commands and then I wanted to get into swapping heads, more precisely swapping Hawke's head with Meredith's. I tried renaming the head .mor file and placing it in the override folder, but whenever I start the game it changes. I managed to change the default head, and it worked in the prologue for the first 5 minutes, but after I got to the character creation screen, it reverted back to the normal heads. What am I doing wrong? How can I swap heads preferably add them as presets in the character creator. Thank you in advance.

From what I can recall (with my admittedly limited experience modding the game), adding presets to DA2 is the same as DAO, just a matter of placing the MOR in the game's overide folder, and then adding the information for the MOR-to-be-used-as-preset to the chargenmorphcfg.xml file. The only differences are that DA2 may require the asset folder structure to be detailed in the chargenmophcfg.xml, and the MOR(s) should be packaged in an ERF archive.
I suggest reverse engineering by downloading a few preset mods from the Nexus and pulling them apart to see how they work.

Thanks for the advice. I found a way to do it with the pyGFF tool. Takes more editing but it works easier.
