Hey, so I've been running into an issue when trying to extract textures from DAO where some of the textures are just not there - it's just a blank texture instead. Even when I preview the texture from DAToolset, it shows up as a blank texture. I don't suppose anybody would know what might be causing this? If it helps, I'm on Windows 10 and had to edit my registry since I have DAO installed in a different location to even install DAToolset, and I currently have the GOG version of DAO installed.
EDIT: Also forgot to mention, I am using Paint.NET if that makes any difference as well

Rather than using the toolset, I've always extracted textures from the ERF files with a GFF editor (pyGFF, to be specific), and I've never had any problem with the textures being blank or unusable.
I do use Photoshop + the Nvidia DDS plugin, though, so I can't say whether the issue might be with Paint.NET or no.

I do use Photoshop + the Nvidia DDS plugin, though, so I can't say whether the issue might be with Paint.NET or no. Thanks for the suggestions! Unfortunately, pyGFF did not make a difference and neither did switching from Paint.NET to GIMP, but while looking to see if there was a similar DDS plugin from NVIDIA for Paint.NET I stumbled on their standalone Texture Extractor Tool - gave that a whirl and I was able to look at the previously-blank textures!
For those looking at the same issue as I am: get the previously mentioned tool from NVIDIA here (or the DDS plugin mentioned in Sky's post if you have PS), and then open up the blank DDS with the tool. Enable the color map, and save the texture as either a BMP or a TIF file - from there, your photo editor program of choice should be able to properly read and see the texture.
