So I'm playing DAO after a bit of a break. My Surana is romancing Zevran. She has always romanced Zevran. She has never romanced anyone else. We're almost at the Landsmeet in game. And Alistair keeps calling my Warden 'My love'. I haven't chosen any romance triggers in dialogue with him. In fact, I have barely spoken with him. All approval gains have been made through i in game choices and gifts. This keeps happening. Over the years people have complained about Leli 'ninja romancing' them. For me Alistair will always be the king of stealth romance. What a sad, lonely templar boy.  Oh well, maybe Anora will cheer him up.  |

I have barely spoken with him. All approval gains have been made through i in game choices and gifts. Stumbled upon this with Alistair as well when on purpose reloaded dialogues all the time to figure out what's what. Back there was surprised as found some lines, barely noticeable, which triggered that interest. Oh well, maybe Anora will cheer him up. Yep, her first move to do that we can already see during cutscene where Alistair tried to take her hand. |

IIRC, the no-romance-Alistair-calls-Warden-'my love' thing is a vanilla bug, and will even affect male Wardens if Alistair's approval is high enough. Not sure if 'resetting' his romance flag (if it kicks in) with something like MetaGame Items corrects it, or if its just a bad flag in the dialogue file (and thus unresolvable without a dedicated fix). (I'm a habitual Ali-mancer  , so I've never encountered the bug.) As long as Alistair's other dialogue (beyond the 'my love' greeting) is appropriate for your Warden's relationship with him, you shouldn't have any of the issues that a true ninja romance (i.e. Leliana) would cause. |

No worries, it's a minor, repeated annoyance.  You may have all the Alistair, all the more Zevran for me...
