Hi there o/
I've just finished my Origins playthrough and it was absolutely amazing. Thoroughly enjoyed myself!
However, there's no doubt the game is immeasurably improved by mods, both graphically, with QoL gameplay and by fixing some issues that came with the game originally, such as the dialogue bugs. And of course, the addition of some beautifully made cosmetic stuff too.
I'm about to start Awakening, will then move on to DAII. Are there any must-have mods for these? I'd be so grateful if people could share their recommendations here.
Many thanks!

Didn't want to start a new thread, this applies to DAO with all the DLC (e.g. ultimate edition). Pretty much all my mods are bug fixes, so the incorporation of the " Unofficial Remaster" was seamless ... If you have mods that do something other than bug fixes, you might run into issues I didn't have ... That said, I was impressed with how much the mod improves the looks of the game. While previous bug fixes need to remain, so far, have not had to reinstall them. I'm running DAO Ultimate Edition via Origin ... there are some STEAM specific issues, so read up before downloading. You need to run the LAA (large address aware) mod before install of the remaster (can help both DAO and DA2).

It doesn't change any of the clunky combat, but it most certainly improves the graphics. I was in Awakening when I installed it, the difference was pretty obvious. I've just started Amgarrak and will follow up with Witch Hunt. Perhaps not on par with MELE, but still, a pretty darn good upgrade ... Dalishious and friends did well with this mod.
After that, will go back to DAO base game ... somehow my Keep data for a few of the runs got lost, redoing those storylines. I'll be better able to report on the base game after that.
But so far, so good. It doesn't seem to have mucked with any of the bug patches. No crashes. There is a warning about Templars for Awakening, but the female Templar in the Amaranthine chantry is fine ... we'll see if that holds true on the next run.
I'm not rushing through any of this, just doing it as time permits. My only timeline is to get the DAO runs re-accomplished, plus one that got mucked up in DAI ... before DA4 comes out. I had two DA2 runs that also disappeared, but I've already restored those. No idea what's going on with the Keep.
