I personally would like either a remaster or remake of DAO or DA2 since I loved both games and would love an excuse to replay them. Both games in my opinion could use a remaster more then ME2 and ME3.

I'd like a remake of DA2 as an alternative world state where the Exalted March actually happens. Seeing how it was meant to develop would be interesting. I'd also finally get the opportunity to marry my love interest. It would also make it worth their while to remaster the rest as it would be a stand alone game that might well attract new players but with additional material to give something more than just updating for the old ones.

I like the idea of marrying Issabela or Fenris. I did dislike how our DA2 love interest was just given a "we are used to being seperated" type thing.

I'd really like a DAO remaster as I think its by far the best of the bunch of Bioware games, and its one of the greatest RPG's in general.
Use the frostbite engine of DA:I, throw in all the DLC, give the protagonist a voice, re-design some of the armor so they don't all look alike and I would be willing to pay 60 bucks for this modernized version.

Remasters for DA:O & DA2 are highly, highly unlikely to ever happen. They were both made using in-house engines long abandoned. As Mark put it, the engine was held together with binder twine and dreams by the end. Remakes are really the only practical way forward for these games but would be time-consuming and expensive projects, so... I'm not holding my breath. As much as I'd want to see remakes for these. That said, around the time of Joplin, BW did investigate the idea of having the Frostbite team create a Toolset. Then they would have worked with professional modders to produce a remake of DA:O. A clever idea. But at the time, there was little interest from the Frostbite Team to do this, so it didn't go any further. I'm sure there are other hurdles as well - such as not owning all the software they use to create their games and would be prohibitively expensive to license. But as EA is starting to see the value in modding, maybe there is a light somewhere off in the distant future...?

Yeah, I don't think it's likely to happen in the near future, much as I'd love to see it. In the case of DA2 in particular, I don't think there would even be much point in doing a remaster - the things that are wrong with it couldn't be fixed with those kinds of tweaks, you'd need to start from the ground by making more areas and rebuilding the combat system so it's not so heavily dependent on waves of enemies.

Voted DA:O Remaster, but as others have said, that would be nearly impossible due to the engine differences etc, so what I'd actually like is a remakster.
Re-use everything possible; music, voice acting in particular and basic design of gameplay.
Then remake everything you couldn't re-use in a new engine. Don't change anything that wasn't absolutely necessitated by the change in game engine.
It'll never happen - but that's the dream.

I voted DAO remaster. If anything if EA/Bioware ever do decide to do this (and considering how well MELE did for itself they should consider it) I imagine they would remaster both of the earlier DA games in a single package like they did with MELE.

Voted Dragon age 2. Either remaster or remake. That game deserves some love, if only because of Nicholas Bolton.

I like to have both remastered, but as said above, it's highly unlikely. If DAO were to be remade, I would like the game to remain the same as it currently is with the combat improved. If DA2 were to be remade I would like them to keep the dialogue system since I believe it was best of all Bioware games.

Hypothetically speaking, if we did get a remaster of the previous games, I'd hope they would wait until after the release of DA4 to do so. I'd rather have the next game first, please. Anyway. If we're strictly speaking about graphics, then DA2 for sure. Lot of people seem to agree that one of the biggest weaknesses of that game was the repetitive levels and reused assets. I got lost in that game so many times because everything looked the same... A remastered DAO would be really cool, especially since there are several areas that we visit that we never get to see again in later games. Imagine how beautiful a remastered Brecilian Forest would be! Or the sprawling, bustling blocks of Orzammar and Denerim! Or DAI-style dragon models for the Archdemon and the dragon at the Temple of Sacred Ashes! (Maybe I'm alone in that opinion, but I thought the dragon fights in DAI were really fun.) On the other hand, that also means remastered, hi-def broodmothers... I don't think any of us needs that.

While I loved DA2 it did have problems with graphics and such also I think Issabela deserves a graphic sex scene like cora got in MEA. I mean her she is actively proud of her conquests so why not.

On the other hand, that also means remastered, hi-def broodmothers... I don't think any of us needs that. If Origins' Deep Roads were remade with modern graphics\animations\etc. that level would turn into a full-fledged horror sequence at that point
Same with Awakening's "new" type of Darkspawn. Imagine seeing those little bug-like Darkspawn maul a bystander in modern graphics...
On the other hand, I'd absolutely love a remake of DA2 at some point. I'd love a city-based Dragon Age with a Kirkwall that "evolves" while the story progresses. 2011 limitations couldn't have given us much of that regardless, even if the game had proper development time. But current tech absolutely can create that.

Ugh, you mean the Children, right? Hated those things. shudders Awakening would be quite horrifying, indeed. An evolving city in DA2 would be a really cool concept! I like the idea of being able to see your character’s impact on Kirkwall as time goes by.

When I hear remaster I see just bumped up textures and stuff like that so in DAO and DA2 case it would be like giving a very heavy makeup to a 90 year old person. So the only way I would like to see these games return is by doing a whole remake of them. Leave the story as it is but just completely revamp graphics and mechanics. Buttt there is like 0.0009 chance BW will have the time and money to do it so - just focus on DA4

With DAO I find that it is one of those odd games where even it's flaws are part of it's charm. Even when it released back in 2009 certain aspects of the game felt dated and rough around the edges but damn it was a fun game to sink countless hours into. I would prefer that one just be remastered with some tweaks to gameplay similar to how ME1 was with MELE.

DAO was the last of the truly great Bioware games. As such I'd ONLY like a remaster if it was limited to a graphics improvement, bug fixing, and perhaps adding back some cut content (such as the Avvar and Human Commoner origins, Jowan as a companion, and such)

Would absolutely love a remaster of both, got a huge itch to play through the series again. Add in a photo mode too, I've been wondering if they were on the same console as Inquisition would it bypass the need to use the Dragon Age keep to import save data.

I mean, they'd have to go back to Inquisition and create a save import system from scratch. I don't really see that happening even if everything ended up on the same platform, not to mention the various bugs that the imports from DAO to DA2 had which the Keep fixed.
(Importing from the Keep has its own bugs, but far fewer in my experience.)
