Sorry for spamming. I'm currently romancing Leliana with an Aeducan so I'm on a kick. Have some fanart!

Does anyone have any headcanons for what the Warden and Leliana's home looks like? Or just their bedroom. I imagine lots of throw pillows... so, soooo many throw pillows... the architecture's Orlesian but the interior is more subdued, with furniture imported from Antiva and the Free Marches. Leliana obviously has an eye for quality and my Warden is a former spoiled princess so I see their taste in home decor as being significantly more expensive than my other protagonists and their LIs (looking at you, Sera and Adaar). I suspect there's a special bed (with a nice view of the balcony, perhaps) for Schmooples II.
There's a writing desk with parchment aaaaall over it, missives from Vigil's Keep, Weisshaupt, what's left of the Inquisition... Divine Victoria and the Warden-Commander of Ferelden lead busy lives. My Warden's something of a scholar so there are bookshelves laden with tomes, Leliana's research, etc. There's ciphers and fletching strewn about the place, sword oil and a whetstone by the window, and overall things are messier than you'd think because even though they're two very organized people, they need their home to be somewhere they can relax and unwind and not worry about being put together all the time.
There's a pair of faded blue satin shoes in the closet and a battered copy of The Rose of Orlais on the nightstand.

I suspect there's a special bed (with a nice view of the balcony, perhaps) for Schmooples II. I wrote a story where I described a little bit of Lady Cecille's manor by the sea. Leliana had designated a former sitting room with a balcony as the chamber where she keeps all her nugs. Outside the manor is a kennel where the Warden keeps his two mabari. They have an agreement: no dogs in the house, no nugs in the bedroom. (That's not a sex thing, he was just tired of waking up to the stench of nug piss.)

Does anyone have any headcanons for what the Warden and Leliana's home looks like? I like to think that my Mahariel, Brosca and Tabris Wardens would be the ones to let Leliana pick most of the decoration in their homes. Mahariel grew up in the great outdoors and campsites have always felt far more like "home" to them, while Brosca and Tabris grew up extremely poor in slum conditions. I'd think they'd appreciate her taste in fine things, but they'd be hopeless when it comes to buying anything themselves. Mahariel would likely go for utilitarian purchases, things like bird cages or a writing desk that would be useful in their day-to-day lives. Brosca on the other hand, would have an especially hard time when it comes to picking furniture to buy that a; they both could use and b; is something Surfacers would find appealing (in other words, not made out of stone). Tabris would also find it difficult, as I imagine most of their clothes/furniture growing up was second-hand, so owning something brand-spanking-new always seems weird to them.

I have mixed feelings about the hardened/softened thing.
I don't want Leliana to be the type that solves everything with murder, but softening her requires you to condemn decisions that actually were reasonable.

Make your choices and let her sink into darkness by herself. I don't know about rest of you, but I expect to be paid when I play therapist. I haven't seen a single coin since 2009 or so. :smh:

A military general still is below the king.

The Inquisitor don't have power over Leliana.

Leliana is a servant of the Inquisition, but as one of the founding members, she’s not YOUR servant. Yes, she follows your direction at the War Table and ultimately leaves it you to decide the direction of the organization, but that’s because it’s important to have clear chains of command.
If the Inquisitor ordered Leliana arrested or killed, I’ve no doubt most of the Inquisition’s spies would turn on you out of loyalty. And if the three advisors agreed it was necessary to remove the Inquisitor, she’d be the one to slide the knife across your throat as you slept.

And in the chain of command, she follows the Inquisitor's orders. Never the other way around. Any leader can be betrayed or deposed. It means nothing regarding his/her legitimacy or level of authority before such downfall.

Exactly. And in the chain of command, she follows the Inquisitor's orders. Never the other way around. In the immortal words of Jayne Cobb; "You know what the chain of command is? It's the chain I go get and beat you with 'til ya understand who's in ruttin' command here."

When I do my next playthrough of DAO after I complete DAO and DA2. Which Warden do you think is best for Leliana? Human mage or Dalish elf? I like the mage one because I like the taboo of such a union. Like Jowan and poor Lily. I also heard romancing her as a Dalish is good too. Which should I choose? Not many Leliana fan art out there. Here's one. Forgive me if it's been posted before:
