This is a Pilot rampage that I got today playing as Titan Northstar - probably my favorite Titan right now. Sniping poor little Pilots with the Northstar is so damn satisfying.

Ok, I'm getting pissed with it. Unlike Dishonored II, the path for Titan 2 is linear. So I am stuck in the first level of the campaign. The wall running is fun but irritating sometimes. Right now, it's seriously pissing me off. I'm supposed to get the 3rd energy module and I have to run across the cliff wall and make a long jump over to the ledge across a small waterfall. I died 60 times and no joy. I watched the ghost runner and it's not helping. Going to check YT to see if it's as donkey linear as I think it is and that's the only route across. P.S. I got pass it watching YT now I'm stuck at research facility. This is Titanfall 2's worst flaw; linear and requiring the player to jump through donkey hoops to progress to the next point. So what happens if the player gives up? The ghost walker is supposed to help the player see the route but it doesn't help when it seems to be pushing off at nothing when wall bouncing. I went back and forth in time and there're no pillars to bounce off.

But all reviews that I have seen say that the platforming of the campaign is intense and puzzling, yet nobody says it is that frustrating. I think you are just having a bad experience with it, maybe not so familiar with the mechanics and verticality of the game? Nevertheless, I hope you did not get this game primarily for the campaign. While it does have a campaign, the focus of games like these is always the Multiplayer.

I think you are just having a bad experience with it, maybe not so familiar with the mechanics and verticality of the game? Nevertheless, I hope you did not get this game primarily for the campaign. While it does have a campaign, the focus of games like these is always the Multiplayer. I did say I'd be playing the game for the campaign since I heard good things about it even though it averaged five hours (streamer summary of the game) at the most. The reason why I waited for the price drop. I don't know about MP. I might try it, I might not. My fighting days in the arena is over ever since I stopped playing UT'99 so many years ago. That was the height or rather my prime when I excelled in it. I no longer have the reflexes or the tactical mindset for PvP. It can be trained if I fired up UT'99 but nowadays, I'm more for the leisure scenery and story. I still play ME3 MP but it's basic simple horde mode A.I. Nothing demanding. Most MP I see nowadays is rather stale; too much reliance on sniping and not much tactical variety nor having the high demand on pinpoint targeting (example, a UT'99 match just using bio rifle. It's single shot, mid range and depending on timing of second shot, the first shot can be turned into aoe blast. It's tough as everyone would be dodging, jumping and translocating. One would need an exacting eye and timing to score a kill) Anyway, I found the solution to that dang jumping route. Will be trying it out later.

I'm kind of tempted to get this game. I never played Titanfall 1, but this looks like the mech-piloting experience I've always wished for... reminds me of Front Mission Evolved, which also combined mech combat with infantry combat.

It is free this weekend to everyone PS4, xbone and PC. Give it a try before you buy it.
Free trail weekend not free to keep. Needed to clarify that.

I finally finished the single player campaign and it's every bit as good as people said it is. I've only grouses with the platform jumping. There's no replay factor but I carry fond memories of the Titan and the campaign. BT!!!

Well guys, believe it or not, there is a new titan in Titanfall 2.
I tried playing right now and the game is quite dead. Didnt get a chance to test this new toy. But hopefully tomorrow I will.

Unfortunate that EA released this so close to BF1 and Call of Duty Infinite Warfare, it deserves so much more than it got.

I really enjoyed the campaign of this game. I found it to be a great time.
Multiplayer was fun for a bit, but my problem is I'm on at odd times. So only the super elite hardcore players are on at these times. And they kick my tail up and down the maps, every time. When I could find a game with average players, I had a blast. And if anyone here is on origin, and wants to get a game going, drop me a line.
But I stopped playing it, because I wasn't having so much fun with the MP.

Here I thought Titanfall 2 had already given us everything it was supposed to. And I am glad to say I was wrong: Frontier Defense, 4 player co-op horde mode is a total blast. Extremely fun, team oriented and overall there is such a a casual and even humorous tone to it that makes it kinda laidback and a difference experience from the game I was used to. I have played very little Titanfall 2 this year, I am not familiar with all these map variety anymore. Though I can say that this game grows on me each time there is something new and I try it. I am even surprised there is so much content being released to it given it was not a big comercial success. Respawn is really taking care of their game and I can safely say this is my favorite First Person Shooter this generation, if not ever.

This is a gameplay of a public match I had these days. As you guys can tell, a few things are different in this mode. Some people have complained before that the Titans felt kinda disposable in other more competitive modes. However in Frontier Defense - aka the horde mode - you can pretty much use the same Titan throughout the whole thing. Like 20+ minutes in one Titan.
Matches are long-ish, they can take over 30 minutes. But they don't feel tiring, there is so much action going on that even failing a wave and repeating it doesn't feel like a chore. Also this being a horde, co-op mode makes Titanfall 2 more welcoming than ever before. Crazy skills are not required, you just need awareness, teamplay and focus on specific enemies that are more threatening to the objetive. Being someone who spent thousands of hours on ME3MP, Inquisition MP and Andromeda MP, this is the type of multiplayer mode that I enjoy playing the most.
Respawn has done a phenomenal job with this game. Back in December people had little hope any extra content would ever come up, due to the lackluster sales. Since them, Respawn has added almost one add-on pack a month, with several maps, a few new game modes, one titan and tons of cosmetic content - some of which can be bought with microtransactions, though no RNG. If you pay, you choose what you pay for. Respawn's job is truly praiseworthy and there are lots Bioware could learn from them.
