Has there been any lore reason as to why every species speaks english? I mean I remember in Farscape the reason why so many species understood each other was because they were implanted with a translator microbe. But has it ever been explained in the Mass Effect Universe?

Just a thing with most space sci fi. Star Trek uses universal translaters. Not sure what Mass Effect's explanation is. The in game codexes might mention it. My guess is that is some translater similar to what Star Trek has.

They use translators (implanted, I think?). I believe there may be a codex entry about it.
I know in ME2 in the conversation with Thane (as a FemShep only?) where he calls you Siha, Shepard says "I think my translator just glitched. What did you call me?)
There is also a joke in ME3 in one of the Blasto movie lines (keep interacting with the movie sign on the Presidium Commons) where one of the characters is coughing up blood and gurgles something, and the Blasto's translator says something like "Untranslateable, vocals obstructed" or something like that; it has been a while since I interacted with the movie sign so I forget the exact line.
But yeah, I think there is a codex entry about it somewhere.

There are also pieces of "alien talk" heard when you go to Flux in Mass Effect 1, check with higher volume on audio at 0:06 onwards. I think its Turian atleast talking and some else.

Oh, I haven't seen this earlier! The answer is at least two fold: There is a simplified trade language that almost everyone speaks and understands, and there are universal translators like in Star Trek, as KotorEffect and Caesar mentioned. Though, according to that video game shopkeeper on ME2's Citadel, 'there is nothing worse than some batarian insisting to speak their own language without auto translation' There is this codex entry from ME1 BDTS, and i thought there was another one, but i can't find it right now.

According to Traynor, Javik doesn't need a translator. Which suggests he understands all species languages. Likely due to his sensory ability to 'read' people.

And thanks to the beacons and cipher, I believe Shepard has some understanding of Prothean language too. He can certainly 'see' images as a Prothean can.

Yep, which is why in LE3 when on Eden Prime Shepard can decipher the images played in his head and understand the language. Liara even asks Shepard if he understood the images.

I believe there is a codex entry you get when you play that DLC mission with the batarians in ME1.

Translator technology.
However, this doesn't make any sense within the context of Andromeda.

Translator technology. However, this doesn't make any sense within the context of Andromeda. In what way? When you first meet the Kett or remnant stuff, their language cannot be made sense of - that seems right. After that the Hyperion reaches the Nexus, the people there already had their fair share of encounters with the Kett and presumably could decipher a lot more of their language -> after that there are rudimentary translations available for Kett log entries on Eos and the like - still makes sense to me. As the game progresses, more of the kett language can be translated and this is shown in the log entries found e.g., on their flagship or on Voeld. So there seems to be a pretty sensible progress from 'not understanding anything' to 'can roughly understand most texts'.
The angarans already made contact with Nexus-exiles on Kadara and Elaaden long before the Tempest lands on Aya, so that's where they got their translators set up for MW language(s).
So what point did i miss where translator tech does not make sense?

They put a little yellow fish into everyone's ear. Nah, Bring Down The Sky added a codex entry. But yea, the games are not really consistent with that codex entry, just like always in SciFi, all translators are developed by Todd Howard: It just works.

No no, they obviously all speak English. If they wouldn't, the lip synch wouldn't match after all. Or maybe the translators subtly influence the user's brain and create the impression that the alien's lip movements match the translated speech he's hearing, including the translated result having the exact same amount of syllables as the original speech. Just roll with it and don't waste too many thoughts on it.

I really wish they would get away from silly out of jail cards like "instant translator implant/portable device". Such a thing is logically impossible anyway, no matter what level of technology a civilization may possess. Often the meaning of a sentence only becomes clear after it has been fully spoken and that means that's the earliest point the translator can get to work, meaning you'd always be lagging one full sentence behind of what's being said at the moment.
An example: in German you can have really long sentences where the verb is the last word (a famous example is Franz Kafka's first sentence of "The Transformation"), so you have to wait out the entire thing before you can start translating. No level of technology can circumvent that problem.
However, Mass Effect very rarely makes aliens actually alien (hanar and elcor come to mind) - most of them are humans with a different paint job and a certain aspect of human culture attached to them. I mean, there's nothing really alien about Turians, they're basically just Sparta in space with cool looks. Almost everyone is bipedal, got two eyes and arms and is relatable to human culture. In this case I suppose it's fine to handwave the "how do they all understand each other" problem.

This also means each species has to provide for possible multiple languages in their species (think Earth with Spanish, French, Russian, English, Chinese, etc) and dialects.

Translator technology. However, this doesn't make any sense within the context of Andromeda. Agreed, except possibly for the kett. We know that SAM was collecting language samples on Habitat 7 and then again on Eos. The kett also may have known whatever was the common language in the MW. The angara were just magicked to understand.
