Ok, let me take a breath here, I am a little excited actually! As much as I love the Portal games, and have some modding in my times of gaming - I never got into the Source engine games when they were new. As a result, I kind of missed that boat and remain oblivious to what is going on in that world. If you haven't played Portal or Portal 2, let me recommend them to you with sincerity and enthusiasm. This "mod" intends to be a remaster of Portal 2, and from the looks of it, they are making significant progress with a systematic approach to their progression. In any mod, ambition is the killer. This mod is immensely ambitious. However, this proof of pudding video smacked me in the face, because I never expected it and I always want to play some Portal. "Look at you. Sailing through the air majestically. Like an eagle. Piloting a blimp." "Remember when I was talking about smelly garbage lying around and being smelly, that was a metaphor. I was actually talking about you." :dead:

I actually replayed the old portal games not too long ago. The visuals are not an issue (and in the case of Portal 2 more than good enough still IMO). It's the puzzles and the humor that makes these games anyway.
Speaking of mods though, if you do play through Portal 1 and 2 and want more portal fodder afterwords, I recommend 2 standalone mods that add more story and more puzzles. Portal Stories: Mel is pretty much an entire game in it's own right and Portal Reloaded, while a little shorter adds time portals to the mix. Both are fantastic mods for Portal fans.
