If its any consolation, the stream has the voice actors talking over it. Not in like an interesting directors commentary way, but in like a he tripped over a tree it's not that funny please stop way.
I didn't think it would annoy me so much.

Fenris was a highly favored character for me because he totally and utterly owned Anders in just about all their banter, just destroyed all of his flimsy arguments. That is true. Okay he has two saving graces.

Gideon Emery is the one saving grace of Fenris’s character. Everything else about him sucked. Fenris was a highly favored character for me because he totally and utterly owned Anders in just about all their banter, just destroyed all of his flimsy arguments. Except that time when Fenris "lost" that argument about how he supposedly is the same as an abomination because he kills people too. The game let Anders have the last word, when Fenris could've easily said "Difference is that I can decide whether to kill or not."

Okay, just finished the quick 6 episodes of Absolution... Okay - so... Meredith lives! Kinda. She's basically a talking lump of red lyrium, which makes me wonder how this fits into Tevinter Nights. I'm guessing Absolution happens before TN? Or could this have happened because the lyrium idol was removed from her? Also, she seems to be commanding red templars and somehow operates in Kirkwall. In secret? Yeah, I've got questions... Also, a few decent story twists in this one. Fairbanks is dead, presumed to be a traitor, but turns out he was one of the good guys. Hira winding up being the conflicted antagonist. Gameplay-wise, I wonder if the spells we see in Absolution are just for the show or will we see similar spells in DA:D? A disc you can fly on would be handy... ![B)](//storage.proboards.com/6576594/images/REgRucXjKZDikiMmGWyB.png)

The Circulum does allow for the resurrection of the dead, so there is a potential out for Fairbanks down the line.
But yeah, I'm still getting my head around the Meredith twist at the end.

Oh please for god of good storytelling don´t do this and atleast destroy after resurrecting Fairbanks. I don´t want to see Threads like bring Duncan, Arl Howe or whomever to be a thing. This is so stupid...
And to Meredith. Where is in terms of hierarchy? I mean was even Corypheus in secret her servant?

How Meredith brought the red templars under her command is simply speculation at this point. She may simply be able to command them through the red lyrium. If she still has the idol in with her, then that could explain it as well.
Corypheus isn't mentioned. I think she's just picking up his remaining red templars.
I do wonder at the sudden interest she has in crushing Tevinter though (beyond just "Mages Bad").
Again... more questions!

gervaise21 well, tis better to be open-ended and pose ideas/guesses/theories for discussion I think family wouldn't need to be a parent. miriam could have been born into slavery to parents who were slaves and then for one reason for another not known her birth parents - parents passed away young, the children were sold off young, etc. they were slaves so.. :/ there's another child who was a slave in miriam's flashback who looks like her - suspect a sibling. if she's Siccari, perhaps the sibling was the one held hostage and they had a different role (in the house for example) while miriam's was to be a siccari. that character doesn't look to be around in miriam's present. maybe part of her guilt (guilt mentioned in the tagline) and trauma is in relation to what happened to them? maybe the cost of her escape was consequences for the hostage, or she finally made her escape after something happened to them and has survivor's guilt. or she failed in an assigned siccari task and they were killed? (edit; and if she's ex-siccari that could be why her particular slave marking on her face intimidated the guard so much and why she's so skilled at fighting and spying and stuff, because she was specially trained) about Hira, not a possessed blood mage, but a blood mage, or possessed, or did something bad in the past that miriam would be aghast at. she's keeping some sort of terrible secret right? something which Miriam, who is a former slave of an abusive Magister, would potentially think of as a dealbreaker. maybe she's the one who got the circulum to who they're stealing it from in the first place, and now regrets it? she seems very invested in stealing it. [prior post] Miriam: former Tevinter Siccari? Tassia: Tevinter Templar, enforcer for Magister Rezaren? Rezaren: related somehow to the woman that used to own miriam [son?] Hira's secret: blood mage, possessed like Wynne or she did something bad in the past relating to Miriam, like Celene with Briala's parents? Lacklon's arc speculation: grumpy cynical coward will learn the meaning of friendship, heroism and maybe self-sacrifice some stuff in there that wasnt too far off the mark - Lacklon's development arc - Hira had a sort of deal with the one who had the circulum, was then very invested in trying to steal it back, and the crux of her secret (selling miriam back) was quite Celene and Briala-esque, a complete abuse of power and trust by a powerful human and their elven lover who is of much lower standing and being treated like an item - I don't remember the word 'Siccari' being said, but Miriam's previous role and training as an enslaved weapon for House Ammosine is similar - Tassia in general - Rezaren was the woman's son - the other child in miriam's flashback was a sibling who died basically because of rezaren's mother and that was at the core of her trauma

Just finished, and that was delightful ![<3](//storage.proboards.com/6576594/images/bYmUqWGYNIhNE0GJanhP.png) . Could have used a couple more episodes (I'd have loved a little more backstory for Roland, Qwydion and Lacklon) but I very much enjoyed what was there.

Any new info on the Inquisition in this series? Only that it seemingly takes place in a world state where they were disbanded at the end of Trespasser. The characters talk about 'what's left of the Inquisition' on several occasions, implying that they don't (publicly) exist as an organisation any more. We briefly see Cassandra and Leliana sending Fairbanks and Hira on one last mission to retrieve the show's McGuffin from Tevinter which could maaaaaaaaybe imply that Vivienne is Divine in this world state but maybe Cass or Leliana just didn't want to wear the hat that day.
One of the new characters, Hira, in an Inquisition agent we hadn't met before. Qwydion might be too, actually, since she says she's 'worked with Fairbanks for years' but that's not completely clear.

I'm reading spoilers and ... Maybe it's good, I wouldn't know I don't have the patience to watch. But what's the point of bringing Meredith back and red templars? it just give me flashback of playing WOW and that damn high elf Kael Thas was always back from the dead for some reasons. Meredith was interesting as a non corrupted character, her going crazy red lyrium was only good to introduce red lyrium. Let that poor woman RIP. Also Kirkwall let it be peaceful for a while.

I've got to admit, I did rather enjoy that. My favourite character is Qwydion and I wouldn't mind having her as a companion. As for the rest..... I think this series may be why we haven't heard anything else from Bioware. I can't believe we had that twist at the end unless it is going to be a thing in the game, although I suppose that depends on whether they do a sequel to the series before the game comes out.
Had a LOL moment. when Roland kissed Lacklon. I suspected that was coming but the look on Qwydion's face was priceless.
Kind of wondering what the hell with the Crimson Knight being in Kirkwall. However, I think that could be reviving an old plot thread from the cancelled DLC Exalted March. I guess that could explain why Varric had to leave though.
Sorry that Fairbanks had to die though. In view of that I'd rather they had left him running the Dales, poor chap.
By the way, did anyone else pick up on the fact that the Circulum used to belong to the Pavus family?

And to Meredith. Where is in terms of hierarchy? I mean was even Corypheus in secret her servant? It could be that the Crimson Knight is going to be entirely confined to the series and it will indeed conclude with the destruction of the artifact. Alternatively, the Crimson Knight is going to feature in the game and the Red Templars are going to be another faction we have to deal with. I don't think you can bring people back unless the body has been preserved. That was achieved with Miriam's brother by using a demon to preserve it. I doubt that it will be possible to bring back anyone who has already started to decay and in any case they can refuse to return, plus it needs a whole heap of blood magic, so people are going to be choosy about who they attempt to bring back. See my other thoughts in my first post.

Any new info on the Inquisition in this series? Well it seemed to be running with the idea that the Inquisition was disbanded, although it was mentioned how Skyhold was still the HQ, which didn't make a lot of sense unless it happened between Trespasser and Callback, so I suppose you could equally see it as the Inquisition no longer being the organisation it once was seeing as it became the Divine's private army. There was stuff to chew over, which if it is going to be in the game, could account for why we haven't heard more from Bioware recently as they thought the series could do the talking. Check the spoilers if you want to know more.

Awesome animations and sound track. There is like 10 voice actors for the entire show thought. Somehow this reminded me of DA2. Probably the string of things going to shit one after the other and everyone being so bouncy in combat. I liked Tassia the most and Miriam was fine too (but very raging when her PTSD kicked-in). Qwydion was adorkable. The two Warriors could have used a bit more character exploration thought. And this need a sequel. I don't see BioWare doing a follow-up in the games. Things learned from Absolution:
- hello Spirit of Wisdom, nice Pride demon eyes you have....oh...oh...are we going to see Enmity one day? I like him.
- so the Pavus were into creating murder fueled artifacts - speaking of the McGuffin, it sound like the trick the Archdemon and Corypheus pull off, but via a trinket instead of the Taint. - That one Tevinter Divine who thought turning his summer palace into a Murderworld if one alarm was triggered...yeah, not that bright. - Can we have that staff blocking skill in DAI, pretty please? - The Venatori were created years ago...so Cory just usurped them? OMG! - I'm surprised Tevinter does the Harrowing...but considering they give the pass grade when you fail anyway. - So Meredith's statue wasn't destroyed, she was regrown on that thrown. Because it used to just look like Meredith before.
Oh and this is what happens when two toxic relationship collide. I expect Tassia to go after the thieves and join the gang if a sequel is ever made.

Azarhal, my responses: - hello Spirit of Wisdom, nice Pride demon eyes you have....oh...oh...are we going to see Enmity one day? I like him. - That was an interesting take on the spirit of wisdom, considering you know who and his alter ego.- so the Pavus were into creating murder fueled artifacts - So you picked up on that too. They are are very ancient family so hardly surprising there are a few blood magic skeletons in the cupboard.- speaking of the McGuffin, it sound like the trick the Archdemon and Corypheus pull off, but via a trinket instead of the Taint - no doubt they got the idea for ancient elven writings like everything else.- That one Tevinter Divine who thought turning his summer palace into a Murderworld if one alarm was triggered...yeah, not that bright - I just found it amusing that Tassia thought the Divine wouldn't approve of blood magic considering what we learned in Asunder.- Can we have that staff blocking skill in DAI, pretty please? - The Venatori were created years ago...so Cory just usurped them? OMG! - I think the fact they continued on after his removal was a fairly good indication they were already an established group when he came along. There were hints in WoT2 that cultists like them do crop up every so often and even when put down by heroes, tend to respawn under a different identity.- I'm surprised Tevinter does the Harrowing...but considering they give the pass grade when you fail anyway - Dorian mentioned his Harrowing when we were in the Fade. He said how a desire demon tried to seduce him.- So Meredith's statue wasn't destroyed, she was regrown on that thrown. Because it used to just look like Meredith before. - H ave you read Tevinter Nights. There have been a lot of strange things going on with that statue since we left Kirkwall. Apparently, the Gallows was also off limits because of it.Oh and this is what happens when two toxic relationship collide. I expect Tassia to go after the thieves and join the gang if a sequel is ever made.

Still, my point was more that the dude failed and his mom wouldn't have any of it.
Yeah, I read Tevinter Night, but what I remember is that it was off limits because of the red lyrium. Here she's standing on a throne and dhe's grown and took command of whatever was left of the Red Templars(??). One thing I find super interesting thought is that she wants a war with the Imperium. I can't decide if she's being influenced by the Idol still (which is in Solas's hand now) or someone who might gun for Solas once she learn of his existence... But she will probably be dealt with in a follow up to this.

Just finished it and thought it was way better than I was expecting. Instead of judging it by reading spoilers, I suggest watching it. It's not a long series and you'll be done in less than 3 hours. I found it quite faithful to the lore, in fact I doubt it'll find an audience outside of DA fans.

So... Absolution only killed off Fairbanks right? So my question was it worth it to bring him back and flesh him out or should stayed in the Dales?
