Morrigan. Her drinking from the well will be declared canon so Bioware can have an excuse for bringing her back yet again. The opposite could be true. OGB Kieran calls Morrigan "the Inheritor" before we go to the Well. Flemeth also puts something into the eluvian before she meets up with Solas (which a data mine suggested was intended for Morrigan). So it might play into the originally intended story for Morrigan to be the inheritor of Mythal's power which allows her to control the drinker of the Well, in other words the Inquisitor. The alternative would simply mean that no one had control over Morrigan and the knowledge she acquired by drinking. However, it may well be that the current writers have decided to dispense with the whole thing as not being important to how they want to resolve the Mythal story. It was very much DG's baby and he is no longer there to promote it.

Flemeth was kinda my fav character and Mulgrew's voice had a big part in that.

Flemeth/Mythal for sure...way too wily to be duped that easily by Dead Wolf (no that's not a typo). She's always had a long term strategy we mere mortals cannot understand. All to be revealed (eventually).

I think Morrigan or the Inquisitor. The Inquisitor could work well if they are going to be used in DAD. I think Morrigan can fit with or without her mother.

There has to be a limit; settings where death becomes an unserious thing, IMO invariably lose charm and seriousness. I agree when it's something dumb like the survival of Leliana but Mythal's whole thing is her horcrux-like death cheating and immortality.

I agree when it's something dumb like the survival of Leliana but Mythal's whole thing is her horcrux-like death cheating and immortality. Well the former tends to diminish their idea of actions having consequences. It also leads to people objecting when those consequences are permanent, whilst others object when they are not. As for the latter, Mythal's survival down to the present does add complications to how you deal with powerful enemies, although we already knew from the Arch-demon that this is a possibility. What I found laughable with Corypheus was everyone was puzzled how he survived when Leliana and Morrigan in particular knew about the Arch-demon, so was it such a stretch to apply the same logic to an intelligent darkspawn Magister? The other problem is that Solas knew it was possible. He admits that he didn't try killing the other Evanuris because you can't be sure they haven't got a back up plan. So why didn't he use his extensive knowledge of the Fade to revive Mythal or at least make contact with her? Perhaps he did and ignored her advice about how to deal with them or she suggested a prison but it was his own idea to use the Veil to seal it off. Even if it took a while for her to recover herself in the Fade, Solas was dreaming away for millennia, conversing with spirits and watching what went on in the world, yet they never made contact in all that time? I find that hard to believe.
