So little love for James. I've got he and Garrus with me on Menae right now. I've come to realize what a good guy he really is. Passionate, angry when he sees people getting hurt and dying, not exclusively concerned with humans but hates seeing people of any race suffer. He looks at krogan as the go-to guys when you have a big fight coming instead of an ancient threat. Yeah, as others have said, it would have been great to have him from the start, but he would have been an addition to Kaidan, Ashley, Garrus, Wrex, Liara and Tali rather than a replacement. Hell, if we can have 12 squadmates in ME2, it's surely not asking too much for 7 in ME1.

He's like if someone merge a mexican from those spaghetti western movies and someone from jersey shore. 2/3 cringy, 1/3 funny.

I enjoyed James as the soldier bro who likes his abs shiny and big. In many ways he reminds me of the way characters were written in ME1: not some memetic badass, but a good, level-headed, confident soldier and interesting guy who ends up on your team by circumstance.

Another thing I liked about James: Despite his stature, he didn't came off as overpowered, like most guys who look like him, punching boulders and stuff (I'm looking at you Chris Redfield )
