I haven't noticed any of those annoying Origin updates/bug "fixes" in a while, so Origin is likely shelved already. I expect the usual EA bullshit with one PoS software traded for another PoS software. Followed by a host of bugs, screwed up accounts and compatibility issues    |

Indeed, with Bioware points gone there will be no more spending real world money on ME3. That might be enough reason for EA to shutter ME3MP's servers in the very near future. I have a strange feeling that it will be somewhere early next year, around the 11th anniversary of the game in March.

i had this as well, i proceeded to the transfert toward the new EA app thing. luckily for me everything worked. i just strongly hope that they will work on the issues for other people.
(and also hope ME3MP servers will not die, because if they do, i will miss ME3MP a lot)

I'm not about to test this again since I don't want to risk losing what I have! strange. so, for the potential new players, how can we help them to get the DLCs? is there a way to directly find the files of the said DLC, and simply upload them to a big platform for them to manually take them and slap them in their game to get them? or are the new players just prevented from enjoying the full MP content?

I do not have any games that need the EA app. That's crazy, I know, but I'm just cool like that.
For those like me, this is a nothingburger for now, but it is a Harbinger ™️ of our doom.
For those newbies that came to us late and already are invested in this new ecoshitstorm, I hope that solutions are found sooner than later.
My favorite solution would be to get rid of the fucking launcher nonsense already, you already gave up on beating Steam so really what's the point? They don't need EA App/Origin for DRM, their games already mostly use Denuvo. They can still sell their games without needing the app at all.
Whatever comes, EA already lost my business. This just doesn't mean much to me as long as our game isn't affected. It is a shame that a great many people have been and more will be inconvenienced by this, so for them I stand ready with my pitchfork.

Once you have it, it should work. If there's a license issue, then the binkw32 bypass would solve that (available from ME3Tweaks Mod Manager. But again, this issue is finding the DLC, if the EA App doesn't host them. I don't want to even open the App now to check since Origin/ME3/N7HQ have been so flaky lately. I'm afraid it'll screw something else up. There have been numerous threads on this, mostly for those who were using EA Pass to play ME3 (only works on EA App, not Origin). Someone said they could still get the DLC on Origin, but then another said he couldn't. Here's that thread.

yeah we ll see if they don't, then we ll have to get someone to upload a copy of his version of he game somewhere and shere link to new people so that they can slap the "complete game" isntead of their incomplete one in their PC dossier

I think Mgamerz can do it, at least for himself ? i don't know, but i remember he was very talented with very heavy modding, i remember once he took me in a game with me to try some modding, in the map that is the cerberus chronos ship s entry (the part in the hangar with the fighters that are sent to take off) and he made us fight hoards of buffed up geth bombers, it was very funny i do hope it is possible however, would be great to see ME3MP becomes time-proof (and to then become udaptable by the community with new content)

Pretty sure yes Mgamerz did figure out how to make a lobby outside of Origin matchmaking. It may have been in a blog post, it was quite a while ago. It could also just be dancing sugarplums in my head, getting older is such a good way to develop trust in your memory :/
We know DLC dictates which players can play with others - eveyone has to be on the "same page" modding wise, to land in each other's lobbies. We also know Mgamerz knows how to manipulate DLC hooks.

Some of this is probably hardcoded. All of it might be unicorn shit. Would be awesome! |

Funny you mention the Challenges/Operation/Weekend Events as just a couple of weeks ago I decided to "replay" them on my alt (and award myself with Commendation Packs )! Of course, I could only do the Squad Goals, which takes out most of the fun of doing it with a community. And had to solo a lot more to ensure I could meet them (or even get the right set of maps/enemies). But it did fill out my "promotional" N7 Weapons to X
Yes, it would be awesome if we could recreate the full Allied Goals and get everyone onboard. Lots of good memories, like getting carried through my first Gold ... against Reapers ... when they were the toughest enemy (Banshee magnet hands, remember those?)

I play now to see that CP go up, and have fun with strangers along the way. That sort of mass data hoarding would maybe either prohibitively expensive to host, compile and tabulate, or blocked by hardcoding at the url? That part is definitely in lollipop land, but it may be possible. That guy is now considered "Constructive" after the XP and people that share this problem. There is some irony there, but it is the truth of the post. It was constructive, from a certain point of view. |
